I certainly didn't think the 1st Watson fight was a gift, and even if he did he did KO him in the re-match.

He took care of a very very fired up Benn in the 1st fight. As I said, his resume isn't superb so asking me what I'm basing it on should be easy, watch his fights and analyse his good boxing skills (what a lovely jab he had), then you can come to that conclusion. From what I can see, Eubank only had one clear weakness (he could be hurt to the body).

Eubank has a chance against the best the early 90's offered at 160 IMO....Nunn....Toney and even RJJ included.

I could easily ask you if you think beating old old old man Holmes and LHW Spinks qualifies Tyson to hang with the best HW's, but you only have to watch the way he dissected opponents to know that he could!!!

anthony small is an arrogant shitcunt. and he got beaten by the very beatable bradley pryce. he won't win a world championship against any of the current LMW champions. therefore he is not underrated, but rather not good enough.

Not that many people outside of Britain seem to remember/have love for, Lloyd Honeyghan, which is suprising considering he beat the P4P King and was an Undisputed Champion.

I am English, and I'm 98% certain the Eubank is the most overrated fighter in British history. Bar none.

He did get a gift in the first Watson fight, was getting utterly outclassed in the second before landing big in the 10th, clearly lost the second fight against Benn, struggled terribly against Dan Sherry, Ray Close and some guy I can't even remember the name was that probably wasn't even in the top 100 in the world. Oh yes, and he even admits to the fact he should have lost the verdicto to Dan Schommer - and considering Eubank's monumental ego, that's really saying something.

 

I sort of agree with this I think he gets overrated. His only really great win was over Benn, I had him just edging Watson in the first fight, it wasnt a gift, it was close, could have gone either way but he was getting schooled in the rematch until he pulled out the 'miracle punch'. His resume is actually remarkably poor for someone of his talents.

Totally agree. He thrashed the Floyd Mayweather of his day on US soil, and had a decent reign as champion. Hardly gets a mention for some reason:huh
