    Bwahahahahaha

So much for everybodys new favourite channel ESPN showing it and "saving the sport". Hopefully people can stop going on about "oooo I really hope ESPN show it" and "I'm so going to subscribe when they announce more Boxing". ESPN aren't interested in boxing enough said.

Seriously though, Hennessy and Primetime need to sort their ****ing acts out if anybody is going to buy this. Hennessy needs to plaster "Primetime" around the ring on saturday night, he needs to buy as much advertising space as possible on the in-between round ad breaks to drum it in. He needs to buy advertisment space during Friday Fight Night. He needs to plaster billboards in all the towns and cities, or no ****er will know its on.

Sadly I can't see him doing any of that.

They need a decent channel number on sky, if its not in the 400's, nobody will know the channel exists and won't pay for the fight. If it was on Sky Box Office, everyone would know it was on.

Haye and Booth were in a similar situation. I can't imagine they got much for the Valuev rights from sky (pre-PPV income obviously) but knew it was their only realistic option of getting it on TV, publicised and selling.

Honestly Hennessy hasn't got a clue. He's got 3 weeks. 3 weeks before the fight to sell it to the people. If I wasn't going, I might pay for it but I dunno. For the last two months, and in particular the last couple of weeks Haye has been everywhere. Sky sports news, soccer am etc. and the fight has been sold to the public basically as "the 1 fight to see this year"-a brit becoming a world heavyweight champion.

ITV won't let Froch come on and promote the fight on a different channel, neither will sky or the BBC. We need to see Froch everywhere on our TV screens for the next month, but we just won't as he's signed to an independent PPV channel.

Its an absolute joke, Hennessy is clueless and thinks he has a bigger star on his hands than he has. The sooner Froch leaves and joins forces with Hatton, Haye or even Maloney the better.

**** fat mick. **** his shitty undercards. For a world title fight we've got Adnan Amar against a future journeyman, Tyson Fury against some bum and his "jobs for the boys" crew in area title fights that wouldn't even main event at a leisure centre in some godforsaken northern town on a sunday afternoon.

    Rant over:twisted:

Its a joke yet another PPV on a station nobody heard of it must be some sick joke. I wont get this in I am not paying for PPVs it is a joke. I dont even think I will be able to get it in Ireland if it is only on Sky platform I am ****ed so the internet is the way for me.
Primetime what a joke we know Hennessy deal with ITV runs out at the end of the year so what is he going to do with his stable of fighters put them all on Primetime and have every single fight as a PPV. I know that isn't going to happen so he is going to need some tv coverage when his ITV deal is up. I hope to **** it is only for this fight and he sorts out a tv deal for his fights with whoever and gives them the chance to take up the rights to the Super Six another black eye for boxing. In future there will be **** all boxing on any sort of tv. The promoters are ****ing everything up and are trying to get crazy money when money is tight for everyone and the fights are not worth what they value them. I would love to see more fighters moving to the likes of Hatton or Haye as they seem to know how to sort out tv deals for there fighters. Or even if Froch was to do a Calzaghe and do it himself and cut out Hennessy he could have a better chance of getting what he wants and no fee to Hennessy.

Fat Mick is pretty useless. He simply wouldn't be having this problem if he fought under a different promotional banner. End of story.

No site is reporting this apart from live fight. Hennessy is a ****ing joke, I bet he got decent offers from Sky, ESPN etc but he deemed it wasn't enough. When will he understand, Froch isn't a mainstream star in the UK!!!!

Chris, that is a fantastic post:good. I was one of the 'ESPN will save us' brigade but it was more out of hope than anything:conf. As for the rest, you've hit the nail on the head. How the hell will Hennessy be able to promote a channel no-one has ever heard of to the masses in just 3 weeks and with no platforms available that would be willing to plug an event on rival channel? Seriously, Froch needs to leave Hennessy and soon- with his style and character, he could be huge but Hennessy is the one who is preventing that from happening due to terrible 'promotion'. It's laughable really. People dislike him, but do you really think Warren would have promoted Froch the same way? Warren is a fantastic promoter and this is a glaring example as to why he is the best promoter in the UK, IMO.
