    Started by not signing with the Management he agreed upon turning pro.(Who paid for his Mother's funeral)!
    Alienated Mexican fans by fighting Mexican fighters early on.
    Then the ultimate betrayal by a Mexican fighter... Moved to Puerto Rico!!!! Mexican Boxing's most bitter rival!!! Oh, the horror!!

    To the history and development of boxing. Those who dislike Oscar would disagree, but I think he has been really important for the sport over the last 15 years. The amount of fan interest he created in the 90s, the admirable way he has always sought the best opponents, his graciousness and eloquence outside of the ring, his contribution to the marginalization of Don King, I just think the guy has been a major positive force.
