Question? Does David Haye pay you guys to hype his fight? Because on paper, this is one of the least intresting matchup I can possibily imagine. A unproven heavyweight vs. one of the weakest belt holder in history. I mean, there's a reason this fight probably won't air in the States. And yet, more than a month out there's a new thread in the forum about this pathetic fight every day. Why, exactly, are people interested in this horror show?
Why wouldn't people wanna see it?It's a very interesting fight. You have a big old 300 lb 7 foot Sasquatch against a smaller faster guy who was CW champ now making noise at HW. Haye's chin is in question,Valuev's recent performances have been subpar so he has to redeem himself. Just the clash of styles and physical difference ill be interesting to see.
Haye Knockout im certain he had crazy power at Cruiser and going on his last fight at heavy his brought most with him to Heavy. Thow i must admit the sheer size difference makes this fight very very intresting
Well, I guess we just have different things that interest us. Because I have already seen Valuev fight against smaller faster opponents, like when he fought Chagaev, and that was a terribly boring fight. I also know who's going to win. As much as people are trying to hype this fight, the bloom is off the rose. Anyone who knows or has followed boxing at all for the last few years know that Valuev is completely and totally washed up. That's saying a lot of a fighter who was never that good to begin with. But as soon as I saw the Holyfield fight I knew that whatever speck of talent or ability the giant ever had had long since vanished. That's the reason he rebuffed Klitschko when he was offered a unification bout in June. The man is finished and anyone who isn't a Haye fan knows it.
I think Valuev is just too big, and he only needs to catch Haye once with a shot that has bad intentions behind it. Also, Haye has really offended the giant, so he is probably willing to really let go on him. Haye will hit Valuev many times, and then WHAM it will end with Haye on the canvas. Valuev has no killer instinct in most fights, but it will have been awakened by Haye's insults.
I don't think much of Haye at HW, I think his chin will prove to be glass at HW, but I think even less of Valuev's ability to actually deliver the punch needed to do it. This fight, however, could go either way. If Valuev somehow manages to land a good shot on Haye's glass jaw, it's all over. But, more likely, Haye uses his superior speed and athleticism to outbox the lumbering giant.
Valuev is feather fisted relative to his size, but his size is still enough to guarantee that he stops Haye somewhere inside 12 rounds. Haye will not stop Valuev. Haye himself will get hit in the process of trying (unless he suddenly changes styles and tries to pull an Ibragimov, effectively killing his marketability as an explosive heavyweight)...not by a monster puncher, but by a very big man, and in Haye's case that's enough to say goodnight. :nod
