We need a fight between James Toney and Oleg Maskaev!! Winner goes on to face Vitali (maybe after he fight Kingpin and assuming he wins) and loser retires.

I'd be cool with that. I have a soft spot for the old guys.

Charles, my man, I don't know anyone who loves the older heavyweights as much as you do. Not even ME, and you know I'm a Rahman fan.

Yeah, put Toney and Oleg in the ring against each other. I would watch it if it was on TV. In fact, tell Kirk Johnson to get in shape and match him up with Larry Donald on the undercard to see where those guys are. The only requirement should be that all guys HAVE to come into the fight in at least DECENT shape. :D

 You know it bro. Can't get enough of those old heavyweights still hanging on to former glory.

Charles i too like the old heavyweights didnt realise you were such a big fan. But good on you. You raise a good thought. Me thinks toney would out point Maskaev but he really needs to keep improving his fitness to do this.

Always have been a fan of older heavies. Most on ESB know this, but I try to remain illusive (disregard the Bowe avatar, lol). Glad to hear that there are more ESB folk that like the aged heavies.

sorry , but the contemporary james toney must be banned from fighting real superheavies especially vitali.
mcgroom , peter , rahman , batchelder and oquendo gave him fits.
griffin and thadzi gave him fits.
what could happen against vitali i'd rather won't happen.

Vitali smashes both. I see no need for either of these two to continue fighting let alone fight each other for a shot at Vitali.

I forgot to mention that this fight would not only lead to retirement for the loser, but also one last shot at Vitali, with the loser vs. Vitali to retire as well. So both would eventually retire after this match anyway (minus the winner who goes on to fight Vitali). If they pull off a major upset, then great, they deserve to fight on, but if they lose to Vitali (likely to happen) then they must retire as well.

I have a selfish reason, too. I'm over forty myself, so the better the old guys do in the ring, the younger I feel.
