In the baldomir one he looked like a ninja. But it was baldomir......still his defense is something to admire.

His defense is sick. And his offense is a pleasure to watch as well. One of the best counter punchers ever to grace the sport.

didn't roger mayweather knock whitaker down?? say whatever you want about floyds opponents but Floyd was only down once in a fight.. and that was because of injury not a punch. The only time that it can even be argued that Floyd was hurt in a fight was Judah..

I totally agree with you. All I ever see Mayweather do is shoulder roll. He doesn't do a million different defensive tricks. He only ever does one and it has served him well.

on that vid it seemed to me as if he always dips to his right then spins out. i believe that the reason he is hard to hit is the way he covers his chin with his right hand as he is rolling with the punch and at the same time that he is rolling he's got his chin hidden behind his left shoulder

It seems as though Mayweather is susceptible to an uppercut in many situations.

Can anyone explain why he really isn't susceptible or why opponents do not use the uppercut more.:thumbsup

Looking at this, you've got to give Marquez credit for what he tried to do in there and how he tried to make it work despite never really being competitive.

He started out trying to pressure with constant repeated jabs, then as they were being avoided, he tried hitting downwards as Mayweather went down, then he tried to push right in on Mayweather, to the point of colliding with his feet from time to time.

The guy tried everything, it's when you see something like this that you start to realise how little sized mattered in this fight - Floyd's evasive skillset doesn't come through the size he is.

I have Floyd above Locche in terms of defensive ability.

Floyd was down against Judah, it simply wasn't called. He was also clearly hurt against Corley. Both of whom are nowhere near the level of fighter that a prime Roger was. And by the way, Whitaker won that fight going away in only his 12th pro bout. Who was Mayweather facing in his 12th pro bout?
