Being a huge fan of Mexico's own Marco Antonio Barrera, I'm more than intrigued on his position in the minds of the knowledgeable posters of the Classic Forum. Care to weigh-in?

    Underdog

I call him this because his three greatest performances all came when he was a heavy underdog. The first battle with Morales in which he lost a disputed decision, his career defining schooling of British puncher showmen Naseem Hamed, and a technical masterpiece in taking the rubber match in 2004's Fight of the year against bitter rival Morales.

That was my first pick. He looked like the second coming of Julio Cesar Chavez at 122lbs, and then all of a sudden showed he could fight effectively on the back foot, drawing mistakes from opposition and punishing with sharp counters. Larry Merchant once described him as a "Boxer, puncher, brawler"

I'm waiting for Bill Butcher to come in and tell us all Marco was above all else a *****.

 Explain? He had an insane haircut as a young hopeful, with long frizzy hair, but I thought the shaved look was pretty bad ass in his later years.

I didn't think this kind of **** happened on the Classic.

Why would a Terry Norris fanatic fan even think of poking fun at a much superior fighter like Marco Antonio Barrera? I'm tempted to post pictures of him getting sparked by the flawed Julian Jackson, or destroyed by the limited Simon Brown? Wouldn't be such an issue if Terry hadn't made a career out of fighting shopworn fighters like Mugabi, Leonard, and Taylor.

I don't know. I was looking at your avatar and the hair caught my attention and I couldn't think of anything else besides 'mexican'. So I went with hair.
