he and pac are similar... you can't really say or point out which division they dominated. What we can do is rank them in the ATG list.

Cintron never beat anybody of note at WW. Id definitely put Mayweather ahead of him.

He might not have the best crop of wins at welterweight but he would give any great normal size welterweight problems, whether it be Leonard, Robinson or Duran.

Robinson wasn't really a normal sized WW at 5-11.

True but he is not physically a freak of nature like Tommy Hearns was for example.

unless gayweather fights the top welters, he should be at the bottom of the list of atg's..

whether can either try protecting his 0 and going for the $$$, or he can step up and take on fighters who could give him problems. Cotto would be a good fight, and maybe even an older version of SSM, an a Paul Williams fight would be a bonus.
Basically if PBF wants a legacy at 147, he best fight at that weight and beat the best. Taking a 135lber and beating him with a 10lb weight advantage isn't going to secure his legacy.

Yes, but he did fight Plaster Boy Antonio Margarito, twice!
Can't say the same thing about Floyd.
I wonder what woulda happened had Floyd fought Margarito before the handwraps scandal exploded?

Probably he's out of the Top50.

Mayweather's greatness is measured because of the weight jumping and opponents in 5 weight classes, or by his performance at 130.

:thumbsup I agree with you kirk. If he can beat the winner of pacman and cotto, and also beat mosley then id include him but not now. Now dont get me wrong Floyd would beat alot of the atg at welter but as far as his resume at welter its not good enough. If you wanna talk pfp and what hes done from jl to welter then i have him as an atg but he needs to fight some of the top welters. If pacman can beat cotto than he qualifies as a topwelter if not hes got to fight cotto. BUt he needs to finish it off with mosley to be atg welter

Void has done little in that weight division so that I rate him in the middle.

Now i do agree he needs to fight Mosley Cotto and maybe should have fought Margo....however...does he not get credit for trying to fight these fighters....

he tried to fight Mosley didnt work out

he tried to get a fight with Cotto didnt pan out

he tried to fight Hatton at 140 it didnt work out

He tried to fight Margo however Margo had a fight against someone already...i do acknowledge he still had opportunites to fight Margo but really was Margo all that important...not really Margo was smoke and screens...Arum did a great job building Margo.

Now i agree Floyd needs to fight Cotto for sure but who else at welter sure throw in Mosley but we all know Mosley is too far out of his prime for Floyd to get the credit he will deserve...to be honest i'd rather him fight a live contender like Berto.

Pac beats Cotto all the Pac is small stuff should go..that would make Pac a solid fight.

All in all he is victim of his own skill...damned if he does damned if he dont

:goodTotally agreed with you here bro...I like to make the comparison to Roy Jones often on this board...RJ jr is quite possibly the most physically gifted fighter in the history of boxing...at 168,I struggle to think of any fighter in history that would be favoured to beat him...But the reality is that,at his peak, the fights that needed to be made never got...does'nt matter whose fault it was...fights with Benn,Eubank,DM, and possibly Calzaghe should have happened...and because of that, his legacy as an ATG was severely compromised...You simply cannot be credited for fights that never happened...I'm convinced Ro could have KO'd all of them if he wanted to.

Floyd is now swimming in similar waters...unless he gets these fights made, his ATG status is in question...not to mention the fact that the 70's,80s,90s had a better pool of fighters than pro 2K....

His skill is undeniable...but until he steps up o a real challenge...I'm not sure he can be ranked above even cats like Mosley,Trinidad,DelaHoya etc ATG-speaking.
