Is it me or does this latest response to Malignaggi/DiBella seem like a cop out- They have no interest in fighting Guzman... Diaz'd be knockout out cold! They as simply going back on their previous agreement to try to get Malignaggi to take the short money. Cop out- they know their dude is going to lose and are trying to make it worth their while! Don't count this fight out... just expect a pissed off Malignaggi as he swallows the decreased purse...

GBP were pulling dumb ass stunts in the Adamek - Hopkins talks. They are the ultimate tightwads and are not to be trusted. Boxing is sinking mainly because of promoters like this. Boxing should form a central commission body, which decides who fights who and promotes the fights directly. Promotion is not rocket science. Promoters would be out of a job and fighters would need to adjust, fighting the best matched opponents, if they want to earn a living.

i agree with this comment. Goldenboy is putting a lot of crap fight that knowone cares about. But I as far as the dias fight. They are his promoter. There job is to look for his best interest. And even tough I like Paulie no one really is bugging to see that fight again. There are better fights for dias. If you guys have not read it already. You guys should check this article out. How do people not realize Golden Boy is a business, with the SOLE intention of making $$$$. You think they are out to promote the best most exciting fights only? If you really think that, then youre just as stupid as the people who think hospitals are there only to help people and not make $$$$. If a by-product of a good business deal is an exciting fight, so be it. But they arent out there to make good fights first, money second. Realize this and you wont be so mad. It is what it is, just like all other promo companies.
They new JMM had no chance vs Floyd. But they saw they had a chance to dabble in it and take away some $$$$. Its the game, and they know how to play it because everyone bought it.
