Joe.. What exactly did you do with Rock? Rahman Filed bankruptcy to get out of contract with Don King.. You worked for free because Marshall suggested you and you werent needed.. Charles, he didnt have Rock on any type of program because Rock did what he wanted to do...he had him and yemmah doing some weight program thats about it as for his son.you are clearly making it seem like there was only one time they sparred. They sparred on many occasions and Jr being the least experienced and youngest of all those pros and ametuer stars was expected to do what? he DID spar with BJ..i was in Arizona and I saw it. im not even going to respond to you anymore joe your not even worth it read all your positive comments about rahman from the past if you read your post all you do is bash kermit and rock obviously you aint doing something right all I ask of you Joe is that when Jr wins a title...Travis...or Rock just come back to this forum and give them thier props
Bump. The talk of boxing has a very nice interview of Hasim Rahman in which the Rock discusses his plans on coming back strong in 2010. Says the loss to Wlad was because of injuries that required surgery.
I know most if not all people think that Rahman is shot, but if he got in shape and "motivated" then maybe he has one last good fight left in him?
charles, i said it once and i'll say it again, your love of the game and loyalty to fighters is commendable. but i just don't think a moviated, heavily trained, ready to brawl rahman is any good anyway. he was in FANTASTIC shape against Toney in the first fight, probably the best i've ever seen him in. and though he won that fight, he was completely unimpressive. that fight was years ago to boot. rahman, even if he was at his best possible shape, is still nothing more than a gatekeeper to me.
I respect your opinions my friend, and thank you for the kind words. I am not delusional...I know in my head that Rahman's best days are long gone...but my heart as always goes out to the aging former champ and I would love to see him get one last big fight and perform well.
:good i very much understand this (i felt the same way about roy jones until the danny green debacle). You know, thinking about it, I like the idea of rahman having one more corrie sanders style brawl, go out with an exciting win and a great fight. can't ask more than that before retirement
:good:thumbsup Now you're talking my friend. One last great brawl/payday to call it quits on a successful career. And I was the same on Roy Jones, but after the Green fight, it is time for him to hang them up I think.
couldn't agree more:deal quick question: i've heard tales of rahman's bench pressing abilities in training. do you know what he can press?
His former conditioning coach posts on here and he says that he has seen Rahman bench like 520 lbs I think. Amazing huh?
