IF his style is good enough to be ahead on the cards again Lennox Lewis - it certainly is good enough for Holmes.

LL does everything Holmes does - and a little better.

Vitaliy KlitschKO by KO. I do not see this fight going the distance.

LL has much slower hands than Holmes. Also Lewis doesnt jab as well as holmes who is the best Jabbing heavy in the history of the sport, so you are incorrect there.

Larry is also a tremendous 1-2 with far more handspeed than Lennox. Lennox is stronger for sure. Also, both LL and Vitali would have trouble with the 15 rds, especially LL. Sorry Holmes slices Vitalis face up along the long 15 rds and either gets a TKo or a decision.

I have no ****ing idea how you people are making a Vitali by KO prediction. No one is stopping a prime Holmes. Tyson stopped an older not so prime Holmes and Vitali is no Tyson!

Really? Noone? I admire Holmes for his incredible longevity, something that is often underrated by comparison to a win over an ATG. Homes however did struggel with lesser opponents than Vitali, who only struggled with injuries and Lennox Lewis, who matched him in size and strength.

Holmes great jab would be largely neutralized by Vitali's reflexes. I have never seen a really big man making opponents miss like Vitali does. The uppercut - jab Vitali throws makes it almost impossiblke for a smaller oppoents to duck to get inside the jab and it's a very difficult style to train for.

Close, gruesome fight, I take Vitali by late stoppage due to accumulation. Vitali is cruising to wins these days, Holmes would bring out the beats in him.

again , vitali wins. enough with the vs. vitali threads.
    just too big.
holmes' style fits vitali , holmes will try to play vitali's game under vitali's physical advantage , gets bloodied and batterred through 12 or 15 rounds , doesn't succeed sneaking his own shorter jab , gets stopped after a long bloody fight.

I don't see either man stopping the other on power. Holmes had a terrific chin, like VK. But I could see Vitali being stopped on cuts. I can also see either guy winning on a decision. 15 rounder? I favor Holmes. VK comes in shape but 15 rounds hauling around that big body with his mouth open sucking in air. It would be a great match-up though.

Holmes had close fights with Cooney, an aging Norton and Witherspoon. Not to mention his two losses to Spinks (where he was 35 and 36 years old). So he can be beat on points. I'm not sure if Vitali would stop him, but VK is not losing on points.

Look at how the out of shape LL did with Vitaly. Now were talking a Prime Holmes use to fighting 15 rounds. Some of you guys seriously pick Vitaly to KO Holmes. Please. Vitaly couldnt carry Holmes jock strap.

Why bring in this in the main boxing forum? as if Vitali could be someone as classy as Holmes.... this poll is a a joke! I doubt any of these Klitschko arse lickers even know who Holmes is?

Vitali would be too slow and robotic for someone as nimble, fast and skillful as Holmes. He would probably get knocked out on the later rounds or stopped on cuts. Imagine what Larrys razor sharp jab would do to Vitali's face? lets also not forget Holmes could go the full 15 round distance like somone half his size.... unlike Vitali who would likely tire badly if pressured by someone who was landing. Holmes by stoppage in the rounds 9-13.

Holmes wins by relatively clear UD - 8 rounds to 4 or similar.

It wouldn't be an easy fight though, Vitali wouldn't represent an easy fight for any fighter in history.
