Yea but did Floyd finish the job? Did Floyd Bust up Smaller Marquez worse then Vitali did on Arreola? How about this question, who went the full 12th round? Vitali vs Arreola? or Mayweather vs a smaller fighter Marquez? <<Hmm tough one huh?
Which fighter didnt make weight againsty a guy who was already coming up 2 weight classes? Debate Over
Why is their a debate in the first place? Floyd and Vitali employed completely different styles against two completely different opponents. The only similarity is that they both won. Vitali was on the back foot most of the time, landing shots using his long reach against a fighter who had never stepped up to his level before, had significantly inferior foot movement and was not in good enough shape. Floyd pot shotted moving forward and backwards against a far more experienced, skilled and technical opponent. The size difference in terms of height and reach was less than Vitali and Arreola and it's been well documented that the last few years Mayweather lands one at a time and controls the pace to suit his style. So what is the big deal? it is two different fighters in two different weight classes, going against two different types of opponents, so what if Vitali threw more? Are people seriously trying to suggest Vitali is as skilled a technician as Floyd? its night and day. Both fought well and employed the right strategy, can't it be left at that?
According to this tool, I guess if you knock someone down vs a TKO, that you are somehow the better fighter??
You don't even have to say that. Floyd Mayweather looks 10 times more polished a fighter than Vitali. Vitali still throws sloppy punches, in my opinion. His punches don't look sharp and accurate, and he definitely doesn't have the ring generalship Floyd has.
