Cotto and Hatton were top guys in the division.

Both N'dou II and Ngoudjo fights could have gone either way just like Diaz.

    He's clearly a top 10 guy.

    Like I said mexican bias.

No, it is not Mexican bias, it's a annoyed boxing fan who doesn't think Malignaggi should be disrespecting a fighter for something that has benefited from TWICE.

He didn't disrespect Diaz.Your opening post is extremely disrespectful towards Malignaggi.

But I agree Malignaggi didn't say nothing about those decisions but he has said he wasn't at his best and said from before the fight the Texas homecooking is bad and he was right.

Was this the Paulie fight in Manchester on the Hatton vs Lazcano under-card ?

I think Diaz should take the rematch because he no's he lost the fight and his pride should force him to fight Malignaggi again to set the record straigth

I agree to some degree, but Diaz tried fighting over 135 against Paulie, and imo he should never fight above 135 again.

If Paulie can make 135, I would like to see a rematch, other than that, I don't.

He should be asking for a hatton rematch, there is a fight he got stopped in, a fight that would get him more money why not?

I really DO NOT understand why Paulie gets so much sympathy...Seriously...Heres a dude that everytime he stepped up in comp he failed, and the only time he looked decent was in a close fight against a blown up LIGHTWEIGHT.

Herman Ngoudj who was a victim of a hometown decision against Paulie should be getting more sympathy than him.

I think that the fight should happen again on principal for boxing's sake.

Even disregarding that... don't you think that a rematch to polish this stain on his resume away. The controversy is going to hurt him. If he fights out of houston and beats malignaggi, then he can go back to fighting whomever he choses... but until then, anyone worth watching will stay away from him fearing the hometown decision... no?

If Juan Diaz is able to have some good wins in the manner that he's accustomed in winning, then it shouldn't hurt him one bit.

There have been far worse unanswered and forgotten contraversies in boxing.

Some of you guys make it seem like its DLH vs Trinidad in 1999. It wasn't that huge of a fight, and it wasn't that clear cut for Paulie.

If anyone needs to polish some blemishes its Paulie against Herman and Nodu.

And you're defending Paulie who got TWO gifts against Herman and Lovemore.

    What's your point?

paulie got 2 gifts, and it is controversial (although on both wins you can tell that it can go both ways) yes, but imo he got ROBBED against Diaz. Only a blind mofo would say Diaz nicked it.

having 2 gift decisions and being robbed in a fight are kinda two different things you know? Pac against Marquez is a gift for example, but Whitaker Chavez is a robbery to the highest order.

There should be a rematch, and paulie, being the ***** that he is, has every right to do so.

UliUli, just chill bro.....paulie has a right to be upset.....forget about the decision....he went to houston, diaz hometown, fought well and gave a good account of himself, when everything was stacked against him......a texas ref, a mexican-american judge raul caiz, another texas judge gale van hoy, and a judge from oklahoma who nobody has neverheard of, not to mention he said he hasnt fought less of 140 in like 6-8 years, which the catchweight is too his disadvantage.....

Now, lets jump forward....all paulie wanted was 140(1.5 difference compared to the first fight) and a neutral set of circumstances as well.....schafer originally approved....and then diaz backed out of a fight HBO and his own promoter originally wanted....yesterday schafer did damage control because of the hostility diaz was getting from fans and the boxing elite, he has to defend his fighter.....but why the re-match is not happening is because of team diaz.....now put yourself in paulie's shoes.....from the stacked deck in houston to now....wouldn't you be livid?

Really why do we even both with him.
