What has that to do with it? This is what you said: Which was something I didn't say. Damn the smartness You're trying to downgrade me to look intelligent but you seem to be just an afc. But please enlighten us on why YOU think Floyd doesn't engage in toe to toe action anymore and has gotten so obsessed with his safety first approach? Or do you yet have to see your first fight of Floyd:hi:
Blocking the majority of an opponent's shots is a major discouragement to them - he uses his defence as offence.
If you could know how to win every fight and make $$, no matter how boring you may make the fight, while being hit the least amount, why the hell wouldnt you? If your defense can be that good and your offense sufficient enough to garner a decision and possibly a KO or TKO, do you really need anything else?
Is this how you see Floyd today, or are you saying that this this how YOU say Rooney sees Floyd today?:huh
Yes, but his style really hinders his offensive. And it wouldn't be an issue if he wouldn't promise to fight offensively everytime only to disspoint. And it wouldn't look so bad if he wouldn't cry on National TV wondering why people don't like him.
Floyd's Brigade are all over this thread like fly on a s**t. I think it's just a fight/flight response thing, every people is different. One thing though, you wouldn't want to go to war with that type (safety of self first) person guarding your back.
Most fans, including hardcore boxing fans watch boxing because they want to see a good scrap. I'm not saying I don't appreciate Whiatkers skills, or Mayweather skills, but lets face it, most of fans including us hardcore fight fans would rather watch Pacquiao vs Cotto than Mayweather vs Malignaggi. Say it aint so.
You're painfully correct. His fight style is by no means entertaining. However, big difference. Floyd is undefeated and makes big fights, Ruiz has never done that. So people will accept continuing to watch Floyd fight even if it may be boring, to potentially see him lose, or to see him continue to win. His undefeated record means alot to his popularity, along with his big mouth. All the boxing purists recognize his skills are on a diff level from most other fighters and can enjoy watching him boxing no matter how boring. The rest of the fans watch because of the 0 on his record. Either way, dont know what boxer would take the option of getting hit more if the outcome would still be a win. Well I do know boxers that do that however, they dont last too long and/or cant speak the english language that well anymore.
Many people consider Chavez a brawler, but I also consider him a Master boxer. Boxing has many styles. Some more offensive, some more defensive. Yes you can make an argument for Chavez being a brawler, it's a boxing style, but you can aslo make an argument for PBF being a POT SHOTTER, another boxing style. Both Masters at what they did or do, one more entertaining than the other.
You clearly are dumb. :rofl I cant even be bothered to expose your bull**** anymore. Just check your own text and read what you said in regards to the thread starters initial question of floyd being scared to get hit. You agreed. Therefore you are suggesting he is scared to get hit. Which only an idiot would believe. Who in their right mind wants to get hit??? The stupidity is unbelievable.
