1 million buys x $50 = $50,000,000 which is split between the pay per view providers and the promoters and only means a NET of $25,000,000. Thats what they then start with. The don't see the gross total.

Wasn't there like a $20 rebate for those who bought beers. So the other $20M is probably the promotional fee paid by the beer company.

Even still, how does discounting tickets improve ppv numbers? All discounting tickets is going to is up the attendance figures. That's not going to affect ppv numbers much. In fact, it would mean that more people were at the fight and not able to buy the fight on PPV.

Even if that what he's referring to, that doesn't effect the total revenue numbers.

I can't be reading what I've just read in this thread lol... Someone even mentioned that GBP's spent 20mil on the fight as if that takes away from the profits of the ppv between JMM and Floyd. You guys truly need to do your math. I understand you love boxing, but trying to be boxing business savvy also...just to criticize the cost/revenue of the JMM-Floyd fight almost shows how you also have no clue about what you're talking about.

32.5 most likely being Floyd's share of the revenue.

If they spend 100 million to make a movie and it only makes 50 million it is considered a flop. The performers won't be considered to have the ability to "Open" a film if it doesn't get big numbers when it comes out.

That being said, it sounds like Mayweather / Marquez was a success from a financial point of view, but you definitely need to factor in expenses, I mean.....if you have a brain.
