Yeah, I was thinking the same.

Then again, "the Mayweather pot shooting" he has used in several fights could be said to be very one dimensional as well.

Agreed. Took him as far as someone with a jab and then he couldnt adjust. But he got pretty far in that time.

his natural talent got him that far. hes fast as f*ck, and his opponents does not have enough time to react. too bad cus damato passed away before his title fight, i believe he couldve done more with him... if you have natural talent like tyson but you're a loose cannon, you need guidance. bobbing and weaving and throwing power punches could only get you so far

    :rofl

What about Thomas, one of the best jabs ever? Tony Tucker was 6'5 and had a damn good jab and yet Tyson outjabbed him (specially the 11th round is a great showcase for Tyson outjabing a taller guy). Many more examples. Go to school before you talk garbage. :nono
Tyson could also effortlesly switch to southpaw aside from having a good inside game (with Rooney) slipping punches and being a great combination puncher. How is he one dimensional? :huh

natural talent, thats the main reason. he liked to fight/pressure though and he is used to overpowering people once he thought they felt his power, closing the distance and throwing fast combos. he is 'one dimensional' but not in limited sense, he is just used to fighting one way, and that is through brutal aggression. once he faced the likes of holyfield and lewis though (and even buster who figured him out), who knows how to adapt in his style, he was ****ed.

thats not to take away from tyson, he is indeed a great fighter. i believe that he also lost his hunger or drive that is why he lost to holy and lewis, it should be considered..

    It was clearly Ali.

He only ever used speed and skill to win fights.

    Where's the variety in that?
