With the sorry state of the hw division why isn't anyone considering Michael Grant for a title shot or at least an eliminator. He's only lost to Lennox Lewis and Guinn (didn't see the Guinn fight). He would have beaten McCline without the ankle injury. Is Grant even trying to get another title shot or is he just fighting bums for the money? I'd like to see him in with Valuev or Tony Thompson.
And the excuses from guys like you would be Priceless after either Klit Knocks him the **** out in couple of rounds.:yep
I never said he could hang with the Klitschkos. What about Povetkin taking on Michael Grant as a warmup for Wlad? He would get some experience fighting a big guy while not having to seriously worry about losing.

Grant was one of these guys that was a good all around athelete, that thought he'd give boxing a try. With natural abilities he got so far before he hit a wall with Lennox Lewis. He started too late to master the skills he would need to compete at the top level, even considering there are a bunch of schmoes inhabiting the heavyweights these days.
Michael Grant was a good HW but he just wasn't tough enough to make it to the top of the HW division.
that just about sums it up...not a bad fighter by any means,just not elite level. Still,he no worse than most of todays top HWs. At least he is in shape...
He would have beaten McCline? He fell from the first punch McCline threw after about 20 seconds and McCline isn't the most fearsome puncher. Grant too easy to KO. There are interesting fighters to look for in title fights, Chambers, Povetkin, Johnson. The HW division doesn't need Grant.
I posted a thread about this a few months back. He has the physical tools to get into the top 10 and a possible title shot, but I am not sure the mental makeup is there.
