Another thread that proves people know Pac is great but can't find any good reason to confirm it just out of hate and desperation.

As a Pac fan I like this, it's an obvious indirect sign that they KNOW Pac is great and can't believe his accomplishments. How many HOF and ATG fighters does Pac have in his record again? :smoke

Umm no you don't. The Philippines 3.8% Spanish blooded. Out of 100 million people about 3.8 million looks hispanic or spanish. Thats alot of people so I can see why you think that you think that way. Pilipinos have mostly Mexican blood, not Spanish blood due to the trade in Alcapulco and the Mexicans that migrated there. Spain ran the philipines through Mexico and the people sent there are Mexicans. Manny Pacquiao looks Mexican not Spanish from spain.

No. Spaniards, americans, chinese, japs...plus Malayan (which was the origin)...these are the major races that runs thru Filipinos. Mexicans never played any significant role in Philippine history.

actually, mexico played quite a significant role in philippine history. all the galleons go thru acapulco before going to spain. many of the so called spaniards in the philippines then were actually from mexico. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manila_galleon

Read your history. I know it better than you. Mexicans are the people that were used to run the Philippines through spain. There are also Mexicans that have Pilipino blood because of the trade. That is why there are Mangos in Mexico and why some of the Pilipino words are not even spanish but Aztec. I just read it somewhere in link on someones post. I forgot the words.

their is only one major racial/ethnic group that runs through filipino veins and thats recognised as malay. to a lesser extent chinese intermixture has quite a high ratio. the rest are insignificant.

while its possible that japanese could have a high ratio due to close proximity migration, its very very unliky due to the long standing tokugawa regime... and its quite obvious the only reason why japan is on your list is because they invaded during world war 2, hence why you also have americans on their :rofl

as for spain? philippines isnt south america. mass immigration from europeans never occured; neither did the native population nearly die out from foreign diseases.

you are an idiot. please jump off a bridge. stop embarrassing the philippines.

Not true. Anyone can be a cheater. Trinidad was a cheater and he was one of the most likeable guys around because he fought everyone. You can never accuse him of dodging fighters nor can you accuse him of only fighting at catch weights instead of moving up a division. It is what it is and I never thought about PAC cheating, but like I said anyone can cheat.

You are right. A lot of Filipinos still think that there is a significant percentage of Iberian blood running through their veins while the reality is there is only a very small percentage of them who can trace their ancestry back to Spain.

A lot of those Spanish names you see attached are the result of a system that was implemented to tax the population better not due to interbreeding with the small Spanish population that consisted mostly of clergymen and soldiers. And this is why I cringe everytime I hear people claiming they are spanish (while some may very well be, the chances of that are slim these days). We are mainly Malay and Chinese with a sprinkle of other peoples.

And yes, Mexicans were used as intermediaries to run the Philippines due to the distance of the latter from Spain. Its shocking how little of this is known...

why should i? good that you guys point those things out, because they weren't discussed in school 3 decades ago...Magellan was popularly known to have been the one who tried to invade the islands but was killed by a local boy named Lapu-lapu.. ofcourse, the Americans and Japanese came much more later.

And I dont get ashamed if im ASIAN, Im proud to be PINOY.
