    ive not been on this long enough to know that, but i do rate murray, but i would say limond had a good chance with all the top domestic lightweights with murray being the hardest fight out there for him

    I don't think you can say Murray has an iron chin.

    Proven against.......

    Erm....

    I have no axe to grind with him or his fans, but people are using their anti-Khan bias to build him up a little. 27-0 with next to nothing on his record of note - McAllister isn't anything special, Lawton had been thrashed by Thaxton and Khan..... and so on.

    ok hes had a couple of chances and it didnt work out but i think he would have a better career if he had a good descent promoter behind him.

    it doesn't say anything & your assumption is wrong. thaxton is hennessy's star lightweight, and thaxton is being given another chance. if murray was priority, he would have got a shot at the EBU champ, mezaache.

    how can you say that murray's promoter has no confidence in him, after stoppages of tough slugger meager, and fast tricky mcallister?

    hennessy has clearly got the absolute most out of jon thaxton's career, and the last gasp could be tomorrow. it certainly has been a great ride and jono has at least one compelling main event left.

    also, murray v thaxton IS still an exciting matchup, a good fight however long it lasts. murray and thaxton were given the go ahead by the BBBofC to fight for the vacant british title, which both men could do with.

    he's fought some good fighters, but no real punchers. this is why murray-thaxton holds real intrigue. at least murray hasn't shown a glass chin, i.e. down vs non punchers, as khan was (v limond).

    i think its a must match up! on paper its ranked 1 and 2 fighting each other so this will be some fight, im edging towards murray, but thaxton is still very dangerous, im looking forward to it

  7. thaxton is spent, he blows like an old exhaust after 4 rounds, i really like thaxton but he must retire after this fight. Murray should defend the belt till he gets his lonsdale then go to euro, imo opinion limmond and buckland both deserve fights, but it wouldnt fuss me if murray just fought for a euro straight after the thaxton fight cos he has been on the domestic scene for ages and it will do him now good ala danny williams, the guy would be a different animal if he hadnt wasted himself on the domestic roundabout... thoughts

    :lol::lol:

    Faisal is right btw, I still hate Murray for trashtalking Burns, & then pussying out of the fight.

    What a weasel of a man.

    & speaking of Weasels, what about Hennessey? He cant get anymore mileage out of Thaxton, so throws him in with one of his up & coming fighters so Murray can beat the old guy up.

    & I thought these guys were supposed to take care of their fighters...

    bwt Willie Limmond is ineligable to fight for the European title due to being WBU champion. I think the same applys for the British and Commonwealth titles.
