Doesn't qualify. I'm not sure you get what is commonly meant by ugly. It isn't synonymous with boring.

he was being assisted by the ropes last i checked a fighter had to be up unassisted under his own power.

off the top in recent times

john ruiz vs kirk johnson - good god i wanted to kill myself watching that atrocity....i was rooting for kirk to rip that wba title from him...low blows my ass....ruiz grappling and holding..legit body blows being called low...ruiz playing it up on some bull****....he could have won an oscar for that acting performance...the fight ending on a DQ pissed me off royally...**** john ruiz overall

chris byrd vs darvaryll williamson - ugly for the non action....williamson blows his only shot at the title because him and byrd were good friends so he decided not to fight and apparently byrd was happy to oblige...idiot...the ref had to warn both of them to fight and threaten to DQ

    6. The bell will not save a boxer in any round of the bout. If a boxer is "downed" just
before the 3-minute bell in any round, the referee's count shall continue and the bell will
not ring until the boxer rises and his hands clear the floor.
    =

Get up and the bell rings.

Weather or not the ref was bias he was covere by the rules.

Andrade was in the middle of the ring and not in his corner. He wouldn't have had time to do any more damage anyweay.

this dosent prove your point, show me a rule that says a fighter can be held up by the ropes to beat the count then i will admit bute won the fight

It proves he just had to get up thus proving my point.

The rules don't say anything bout the ropes.

    No but this is.

Either way he was more closer to the middle of the ring than the corner. He was out of the corner either way.

whats the difference in being held up by the ropes when ur stunned and say having ur corner running over and using there arms to hold u up from the outside of the ring. have you ever wondered why refs ask fighters to walk to them after they get floored, what do you think would have happened if lucian tryed to walk to the ref.

It doesn't matter as the fight was over the moment Bute got up.

all im saying is that the timing is a bit fishy, bute went down with about 6 seconds left on the clock andrade had no time left to do damage with the mandatory 8 count in place and if the ref was so worrried in following the rules why didnt he ask bute to walk toward him to make sure he was good to continue like all other refs do.
