Why is it that people always give HArrison this title of being 'Bad for Boxing' ??

Yes the BBC have taken a big step backwards in terms of publicising the sport and yes they paid him a hell of a lot of money and he didn't deliver.

BUT.......... I doubt he didn't deliver on purpose. It would have been far more beneficial FOR HIM to have won. He seems a nice guy outside of the ring and that so I have no personal problem with him. He is CERTAINLY NOT a bad advert for the sport. Lads like Gomez and that get cult followings when he is a tosser yet nobody seems to think he's a bad advert for the game, despite what he gets up to outside of the ring. What about Scott HArrison ? Why was he never classed a bad advert for the sport ?? Using his phsyical advantages and boxing skills to put it about women ? Is that a good advert for Boxing ? Same with Magee, same with Gatti (who I loved BTW), same with Floyd JNR, SNR and uncle !

The problem for Audley is that these are the kind of opponents he should have been fighting shortly after his career began. They would have proved to be a great education.

Not only based on tonight but all of his career, Harrison is the biggest waste of talent and potential in British boxing history in my opinion. I don't know what he was alluding to in his dig at the BBC but it would be interesting to find out why he blames them for the failed career...

 

Where next for Audley?

Nowhere. He's got nothing. Showboating against 7 fight novices. *****.

Like a rabbit in headlights every time someone steps towards him, can't jab for toffee, only has one very limited punch in his arsenal and can't do nore than 3 rounds at even a steady pace.

He's got the skills and the physique, he just ain't a fighter.
