New fight, same story. Roach always has to reel in Pac during the first couple weeks of training.

I gotta laugh at some of these comments, this forum is filled with idiots.

    Of course. That is Roach.

It covers his arse for a loss, and if he wins, he will get extra credit.

I can just see the headlines now - "under-prepared Manny batters Prime, strong well prepared Cotto".

Every story to come out of a Pacquiao training camp is fabricated bull****. Like I said in a previous thread.... Freddie Roach is a PR machine.

Roach isn't making excuses, It's what he does everytime. Make his opponent think he can outmuscle Pac...

THen boom left hook to the jaw.

Well exactly....false publicity. But I doubt Cotto would be ******ed enough to believe it.

Its more so the ******ed fans who believe anything a trainer says, it will sell PPV's believe me.

This news is getting old. Seems like every time pac is training for a fight, there's a distraction. He ain't focus bla bla bla. This is nothing more than a publicity stunt IMO. Roach already said when pac trains he is a beast. I expect pac to come out a 100% comes fight night and impress us once again.

He should stop playing basketball though, poses too much risk to ankle sprain.

No one will give a **** about his excuse, if anything he will be **** on the most for all the trash talking he has been making lately.

Pac can focus on training while Roach can focus on draining the opposition.

Doubt it's an excuse at all. Roach talks a lot, to the point of making Pac's wins look worse. But now he's bullshitting? Nah. Who cares though, I don't even read too much into anything Roach (or Floyd Sr) says. Roach is interviewed every 5 minutes.

this fight has the making of a brilliant chess game.....sound technical exhibition, which in a "pure boxing" fight I favor cotto.....in a brawl, I favor manny, manny is a natural brawler, and cotto gets hit too easily when he is the aggressor...

    This.

Besides, it's not like Pac went to a bar and got drunk. He played basketball and that is still a good exercise.
