Agreed.. However it doesn't surprise me that Taylor was so far ahead on the scorecards of the judges and certain TV viewers. That's just typical of a Jermain Taylor fight. He throws a few flashy, eye-catching punches and whether they land effectively or not people who can't score for **** give him round after round.

Personally I thought it was about even coming into the 12th and thankfully Froch KOed Taylor at the end preventing him from getting a royal screw-job on the scorecards.

Clean punches edge went to Taylor. Effective punches edge went to Froch. Just like the score cards going against Pavlik in the first Taylor fight before the KO. I can see the one judge having Froch up based on that. I wondered when I watched the fight originally if Froch was going to get credit for the 'thud' or if Taylor would win rounds on 'flash'. I had a poor video stream though...

I'm really not surprised at all that you don't see it. Never mind.

I'm really not surprised at yet another rambler saying a whole hell of a lot of nothing.

    Taylor was ahead, pretty clearly.

Froch wasn't getting alot done in the way of damage till the 10th. He was pursuing doggedly, showing a ton of heart, and throwing punches(More impressive than most seem to think), but Taylor was buzzing Carl with those sharp shots. I believe somebody can EASILY steal the round in the last 20 seconds if he lands a series of sharp accurate shots that outdo whatever happened in the round. I believe its the 8th Im thinking of. Taylors round, the left uppercut hurt Froch.

But, Carl rendered all this **** moot with an all time classic comeback.

Clearly only as far as the official judges' scorecards are concerned.

Good post -- Taylor did the SRL steal the rounds trick quite well in a number of rounds.

Press row has it less close.

Froch got rid of the criminal judges though!!!

New user on the forum from the UK. This is the fight that got me back into boxing. I had just spent the night with a girl I’d been chasing for weeks, lost my virginity, and the highlights/replay was on in the morning. She became my girlfriend and I became a big Froch fan.

I moved on eventually and apparently Froch boxed in front of 80000 at Wembley.
