HAHA, listen to this guy, other then WW, JMW and maybe LHW:rofl, EURO's DOMINATE MW AND UP, ASIANS DOMINATE THE SMALLER DIVISION's don't act so cocky dip****. There is always hope with the SMW tournament:good
Landshark...Froch is a superstar in England, Kessler is a superstar in Denmark, Dirrell and Ward are relatively unknown in the U.S. These threads are sometimes overwhelmed with Froch and Dirrell fans, but I don't see as much support for Abraham as I expected. What is Abraham's status in Germany?
But I am guessing he is not big there, or at least not as big there as Froch in England or Kessler in Denmark.
AA is the third biggest name after Vitali/Wlad (1st by a mile), Sturm (2nd). Sturm seems to be more popular though I don't know why. To say all Euros are bums...please remember that the USA wouldn't exist without us Europeans
Relatively to the inhabitants I think in germany MANY more watch Abrahams fights than the amreicans watch Pavliks fights. For example Abraham vs. Ayala (wich was not even a good fight) 5.86 million viewers having a market share of 30,6% in germany :hey
With all due respect David, I don't live in Germany but presently in the states. From what I have heard other then Klits being no 1, AA and Sturm might be fighting for 2nd in Germany. I also heard some talk that some fans were not very satisfied with the last fight Sturm had. Our German posters maybe can confirm this. :good
I was just going to ask you if YOU COULD EVER STAY OUT OF AN AA threadatsch, then realized BOO IS THE THREAD STARTER
Finn, I doubt that Abraham is less popular in Germany than Sturm. That changed since Sturm avoided to fight him last year. I wouldn´t say, that boxing in Germany is a fringe sport, there are many people who watch the fights at tv and the top event bring massiv crowds in the arenas. But you`ll hardly find hardcore fans and guys, who can tell you the name of more than 3 german and 3 foreign fighters . Therefore you find just a few german posters at the ESB. Usually they are cautious towards fight predictions no haters. What matters is in the ring. And so they hardly participate threads like this.
Das AA inzwischen bekannter und populärer als Sturm ist, wage ich zu bezweifeln, obwohl er es wegen seiner Erfolge und seines Engagements außerhalb des Rings redlich verdient hätte.
