    I enjoyed the tourney.

Danny Williams was surprisingly poor, he looked in fairly good shape for once. It was sad to see him reduced to this performance.

Audley was as defensive as ever; he still looks terrified when someone tries to hit him.

Fair play to him, he won. But let's not get carried away by this. In the final he was being out-boxed by a light novice (until he sparked him of course). If he was in against a decent level HW, he would have to step his game up by some margin to even be competitive. He is still nowhere near world class, I'm afraid - even as weak as it is at the minute.

Barrett could have a future if he can get to Cruiser and has come out of this with a better rep.

Get him in with Fury, Sprott, Williams or Rogan, stop the funfair.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. I was supporting Barrett from the 1st fight, and thought he had what it took to beat Harrison, after a good first round and decent start to the 2nd. But to give credit where its due, Harrison looked cool and sharp throughout and picked his punches well in all 3 fights. Doubt he'll go on to make an impact on the world stage but good luck to the guy for still believing in himself. Nice touch at the end regarding Sprott's tragedy. All in all a great wee tournament tonight.

He pleaded gulity to attacking his girlfriend and drink driving and was subsequently jailed for 8 months (running along a 2 month sentence for attacking a police officer) :good

How about a rematch with Sprott? Rebuild the confidence.

Call me what you will- I would like to see Audley make good on his potential. Maybe he never will fight for a world belt, but with the division in the state it is in, it is not out of the question that he builds on this this an makes a run of it.

He's sister commited sucidide. She jumped on a railtrack. She's survived by her partner and two kids. Im not going to go into the rest as i know the family personally.

Anyway great night for Audley. But things have to be put into perspective. It was a great night of entertainment but those guys Audley fought were just area level guys. Audley did exactly what he was supposed to do.
I dont see how this can really propel him anywhere as he's still the same fighter. It will certainly give him more confidence though.

Williams though did not surprise me. I said before the fights begun Williams was going to get upset. And the same for Gammer. Both just need to call it a day. Neither have the mentality to be stayers in this tough business and both have flirted with retirement.

I agree, it was very entertaining. Audley looked really frustrating at times, then comes out with a peach of a punch or two in each fight to win.
Williams looked as if he had been knocked out before the first fight, Gammar looked terrible too.

well, fair play audley-great game plan and well executed!
you know he's the sort of fighter that will be brought in for a champs defence at some point ,and may well even be lucky enough to find a punch to do the job !
he just needs to work on that look on his face when he has to parry punches!:shock:

    Another great Prizefighter tourney!

I felt a little sorry for Danny getting caught right at the start. In the following rounds he tried to claw it back but it was just too late.

I thought Barrett did extremely well but congrats to Audley, Im glad he won.

Lets not get carried away. He did only beat novice fighters who he should be destroying if he still thinks he has world title hopes.
As always he looked ponderous (especially in the final) and scared that he might get hit.

All in all a great night though!

I thought last nights final was very very strange

Does anyone know why Audley stopped boxing towards the middle of the 1st round and untill about 20 seconds before the KO?
When i was watching it i said to my mate i think something is up with him, he has stopped boxing, why is he not throwing anything.
My mate said he is doing it on purpose and can knock him out any time he wants. I thought my mate was mad but low and behold Audley went and knocked Barrett out.

So did he stop boxing on purpose to make the final more dramatic and did he alway know he had Barrett's number or was he physically exhausted and only had 1 punch left?
