Tua's back, the lightest he's been for years and from what I'm reading is performing like he was 10 years younger! Wladimir/Steward - WLAD NEEDS THIS FIGHT!!!!!!!! Wlad needs a fit, healthy, prime-like fighter with a brand name from the 90's like Tua. Rahman was past it. Questions will always be raised over Chagaev/Ibragimov by the masses - Wlad *needs* this fight! Get on the phone, make the fight. (Mandatories schmandatories! pfff)
This Tua is better than the Tua from Night of the Young Heavyweights. If he can stay motivated I can actually see him knocking Wlad out. ****, I might put money on it. Yesterday I wouldn't have dared make such a bold statement.
Tua is the kind of fighter people tend to get carried away with...I wasnt sure how he was going to turn up tonight and I gotta say Im so happy he iced Shane, even though I hedged my bets and picked he wouldnt..But lets be real on paper Cameron was someone who always could have made him shine. This stuff wont cut it against rangey, cautious and truly world class fighters like the Klits..its been shown before.
Very true indeed. I know I used to, back in the mid-nineties. Tua looked in decent nick, and showed his usual quality finishing ability. If you try to go toe-to-toe with this man, you will have a lot of pain and Cameron found that out too. Against mobile jabbers? The younger fitter Tua always struggled. Jury is still out on how he'll do. But this was a good comeback. Let's see if he can keep this focus, because focus has been one of Tua's worst attributes over the years. Next step should be to try to fight again by Nov or Dec at the latest, tomato can if needs be but just keep active. Then aim for a top opponent in 2010 and take it from there.
he looked so confident in the ring tonight, and it was the overhand right that caused most of the damage, if he can keep to his diet and train hard I think he could take out the drips and drabs of the HW division then have a shot at Vitali or Wlad.
I'm sorry but who is Shane Cameron? Never heard of him. If Olivier Mccall sparked this guy in 2 would you be saying he is ready for Wladimir?
Zero defence, either Klit kill him. He has one punch, like Wlad would struggle to defend himself against that one shout Tua has. Think what Wlads jab would do if Cameron could lands with ease.
He was #14 with the IBF and somehow #6 with the WBO before last night, which as you rightly state says more about their awful ranking systems than how good he actually is. It was a decent comeback win for Tua no doubt but lets not make it out to be anything more than that. He needs at least 2 more fights against LEGIT top 10/15 guys imo before anyone can start talking about a shot at either of the klitschkos...
if this fight happens, wlad s gonna give him the worst beating of his carrer, and probably bust him up for a late tko.pizza face :smoke
