Murray is a beast though, I would crap myself being in the ring with him.

Every time this happens they defend the referee, jokers.

Probably to early in general but if you take Thaxton's career into account and the fact his punch resistance is on the dwindle big time, it was fair imo. Shame to see though, I never like see the end of fighters but thats boxing!

Couldn't watch fight, and I don't think Jono is a good guide anymore, but how far do you's all think Murray can go?

But guys say this every time there is a premature stoppage. Of course not, nobody wants that, but frankly, he looked like he was going to get hurt a minute into the second round. Why not stop it then?

Thaxton got hit by a decent punch and he retreated to the ropes. He wasn't getting beaten there at the point the referee stepped in, nor was he given any kind of time to recover. He wanted to fight on and his diligance in his trianing camp plus his heart means he should be allowed to do so.

Also, the stoppage did not comply with the rules of boxing. "Unable to continue" my backside. British title fights used to carry the same weight in the ring as world title fights do now. There's no reason they couldn't again, but bull**** like this doesn't help.

was a bad stoppage, oh the ref could see that it would end badly, why not stop it in the 1st round then.

Great performance by murray, showed really good composure. The stoppage was premature, but it was sad to see Thaxton being hit so easy and getting hurt.

Unknown. He looks organised and patient on top of his obvious gifts. He'll stand or fall based on what's underneath the concrete. Guy needs to come with Joe Frazier if he's going to make it at the highest level.

True, i presumed he had one, be it one way or another.

Thaxton, a LEGEND of British Boxing, in the ring and out.

    Great great guy.
