    Yeah.

The ring belt is pretty good, better then the alphabet straps. But the ring champion has it too easy and can sit on the belt for years without taking on any meaningful risks.

It needs to have a mandatory "fight a guy in the top 5 ring rankings twice a year or forfeit the belt" or something like that.

yes you are the champ when you have it. To get the ring belt the # 1 and # 2 fighters have to fight each other. This is really the only belt that counts.

99 times out of 100, or so, the fighter with the Ring Belt IS the best in the division.

Just sucks because of ABC's and their not ever ranking a Champ from another ABC, it's hard as hell to get the true #1 and #2 to fight for it.

Ends up with a disappointing amount of Vacancies in divisions. But, when somebody has it, they got it the good old hard way.

^^I saw the avatar and rofl'd on the spot :D

And yes, the Ring Magazine's belt is legitimate. Who is to say it is less legitimate than the other belts? And like someone else pointed out, though it may change over time, it (hopefully) isn't as corrupt as the major sanctioning bodies' belts/systems as of now. :)

just think of the fighters who hold the ring belt.. Ring just doesn't give out the belt to anyone, you have to earn it. if you notice a lot of ring belts are still vacant in various division.. That only means that the best aren't fighting the best still..

JMM, PAC, CALDERON, WLADIMIR, PAVLIkK, ADAMEK...

The Ring is just a magazine and a guide for casual fans.
