Maybe in some other fighters' training camp but not in Roach-ran camp. Sparring are like true fights, give it all. They even once had Linares as Pac's sparring partner. The bravado in their sparring session is unbelievable, with each trying to prove something other than just playing around.

I love it how these Cotto fans are so quick to believe the negative things and quick to diminish the positive things in Pac's camp

LOL I believe their goal is to use the tactic they used against Oscar. 2-3-4 punch combination and then move out. Darts in and out. You call that running?

There are basically two kind of sparring partners when you are competing at that level.
    1. The guy that gets paid to do a certain job. That may be imitate someone's style, apply pressure, move a lot, grab and push, etc...
    2. The young guy coming up that the champion give him a chance because it will be a good practice for both of them

Anyhow, the champion have a multi-million dollars fight coming up. Nobody will allow the champion to get hurt. We are talking millions here. If a sparring partner goes too wild he will get dismissed on the spot. Not only on Manny's camp, any camp.

Funny that biased bandwagin Pacquiao fans won't mention this>>[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum arrived in the country Thursday morning and proceeded to the country’s summer capital and witness the sparring session of the boxing sensation.
Arum obviously didn’t like what he saw when American sparring partner Shawn Porter peppered Pacquiao with several left jabs.
“He’s gotta be able to fight that speed style which he showed intermittently in today’s sparring. He’s gotta be able to do it the full round every round,” said Arum after witnessing Pacquiao’s four-round sparring."

Hmm Porter is killing Pacquiao with jabs?

im a big fan of miguel cotto and pac-man, but i think cotto's brawling style is to of pac-mans advantage. pac-man can both brawl with you and out box you, i got pac man by UD, the only way cotto can win this fight is if he can knock pac man out, and considering how powerful cotto is, its a definite possibilty. im giving each fighter a 50/50 chance.

Did you not read the article? Pac was doing shite few days ago (quoted by the article you just quoted), but after the distractions went away and hes more focused, he handles the same sparring partner with ease. Obviously showing signs of improvement in sparring which is what they wanted.

It has nothing to do with bandwagons though does it? The poster reffered to Pac as Pacrunner because their crying about Floyd running around...has Pac ever been involved in a boring fight because he has opted to "run"? I know for a fact that a golfer has never walked out his fight because he was running too much.

Don't you think cause Pacquiao team meaning Arum and Roach made a mistake of madely publicly that Pacquiao was getting hit badly by a jab? People can lie you know that right about Pacquiao all of a sudden is doing awesome? lol.

You can interpret it as a lie, personally I think its honest reports from team Pac...they seem to be quite open about their camp reports. They report it when they think its go shite, ie Pac getting beat up, playing basketball instead of training and they report it when it going well.

Or it could be mind games from start, they planned to report it going shite...then report it going really well to scare Cotto into thinking Pac is really improving in training.

Or it could be as you said, they reported it was going bad then now to try cover up they report it going well.

3rd seems unlikely since I dont know why they would report it crap in the first place if they were only gonna lie to cover it up. I think its just a case of Pac not having boxed in months so his timing was off, was caught off guard, trained a few days, got accustomed to Porter's style, speed & power and handled him. I see it in gyms lots of times, one guy gets outclassed in sparring one day, a few sparring sessions and hes worked out his sparring partner and he's doing much better.
