We know the agreement between PAC and Cotto.
Floyd had similar agreement and just didn't care about a few points down from the paycheck.
It seems Cotto is much more concerned about giving up these 2-3 pounds so will he just
follow the more famous matser and come to the table above the signed catch weight?
... we know in the end the only what is really important is to be the winner.

He should do. If Pac wants to fight a 147, he should do so at that weight. He was happy to fight Oscar there, so why not Cotto?

I think Roach really treats this matter seriously (and PBF-Marquez only showed that rightly so) so I believe he'd make the money penalties for coming over the limit ridiculously high or he'd cancel the fight. I think he'll do anything he can to prevent Cotto from pulling off a Floyd.

Cotto made 146 in his last fight against Clottey. And even though it was a few years ago, he matched Malignaggi at 138 1/4. I'm neutral towards Cotto, but he is an extremely professional individual. Not to mention, he's not as rich as Mayweather, so is not quite as able to buy extra pounds.

Floyd couldn't make wait. He fones GBP either on the tuesday or thursday before the weigh in and said he is having bother making weight and so they changed the contract and marquez knew about this before he weighed in as he had alredy signed it.

Not a professional move, but at least this becomes a legit welterweight title fight. If Pac beats Cotto, it will be on talent, not 2 pounds.

    I doubt it.

Roach will make'em pay up bigtime or possibly call the fight off.

JMM got a lot of money in total and couldn't refuse the fight.

Not at all, Cotto sometimes is too nice for his own good. And no even if Cotto doesnt make weight, Freddy Roach would not call this fight off. Too much money in this fight for everyone involve. They know there could be a slight chance it could happend, thats why they have gotten Manny some big fighters"size" to spar with him. Knowing anything is possible.

Pac will be solid at the weight, unlike JMM who was fleshy, difference would not be so pronounced anyway.

yup, one is a fighter being too big for the weight, the other is a fighter being unprofessional.

Cotto KO's him either way. I honestly feel if Cotto doesn't make the weight, it's because he couldn't and not because he didn't want to.

I have no doubt Cotto will do his best to come at 145 lb. I believe Cotto is a true professional unlike Floyd who I think did not really try to make the agreed weight. Cotto had been honest enough to admit that he could not make lower than 145 anymore which made Pac agree on that weight.
