With the Cobra scheduled to appear on the On The Ropes radio show, i think its only right that all guesses for how long it takes him to mention a certain undefeated former world champion, now cutting a swathe through the world of ballroom dancing, are kept in this thread. Ive estimated a 15 minute interview, and split this into 30 second segments, each of which posters must claim in advance in order to participate. Posters may claim only one time slot. The winner will be the poster with the closest time.

For the purposes of ensuring fair play, Jenna, Rumsfelt or any other participant in the show will not be allowed to take part. I'd also like to request that they do not mention the man himself to Carl.

So, the time slots are as follows, in 30 second intervals up to 15 minutes:

    0:30

    1:00

    1:30

    .....

    .....

    14:30

    15:00

To be fair to Froch, he has stopped talking about Joe since a few weeks after his retirement.

    6 mins, 30 sec.

The length of time it takes him to get on to the subject of Kessler.

I'll take the option 'not at all'

I can't remember him talking about 'C' since a few weeks past his retirement

Not true at all, fellas. Froch's love for all things JC is still very healthy as he mentioned his idol just the other day in that BBC interview, remember? He started talking about the dancing show with a smirk on his face:lol:. I reckon Froch will get a few good digs in on a few occasions. I'll give him 4 minutes tops. I've been waiting for him to say that JC would never take part in something like the Super 6 for a while now but he's disappointed me as he's not said a thing:lol:.

As an aside, I'll never forget the WBO dig he had right next to Duke McKenzie:rofl!

I like Froch's cheek. He does it with a bit of humour which is great and it really winds "C" up.

The bizarre thing is that before Froch made it on the world stage, he was always banging on about Calzsaghe being one of his heroes. I also remember just before one of Froch's fights on ITV, he was on the phone to Joseph (courtesy of the ITV interviewer) and he was loving the fact that he was even speaking to him.

I think that interviewers these days ask Froch about JC and he has to answer. I don't think Froch is the one to bring it up these days.

POW - Yeah I remember it. Wasn't he in Tenerife or summat out running in the mountains and called him when he got back form a run ??

They both sounded mtually respectful of each other, I doubt much has changed to be honest. Bet you a £1000 though that Calzaghe wishes he was getting the support and plaudits that Froch is now instead of getting ripped to shreds on that TV show

And as you've already alluded to, Froch seems to have let the Calzaghe thing lie now, but all the interviewers know he'll say something when prompted to so they kinda lead him into saying something :good
