Hagler always called out welterweights, but when a bigger fighter called him out

    Nobody n any weight class is ever going to beat this guy easily.

    If you twist his niples then you are inviting him to unleash a whole arsenal of horible fouls on you.

    Oh and if Hagler disturbs Greb's hair he is in big trouble.

    I dont havedocumantation ,all i can do is give you my word that i distinctlively remember Spinks calling out Hagler,as me being a big hagler fan i defended him while my dad(more of a spinks guy) agreed with this thread post about hagler not wanting no part of spinks or qawi. I think that would have been to big of a jump,he still could have beat all the rest of the Lt hvys but spinks would have beat him for sure,and qawi most likely would have too.

    I think it was in 84:huh & after he'd hammered Hearns it was stated again by Jim Rosenthal who was one of the UK commentary team, that there was absolutly no case that hagler will move up too challenge Michael Spinks & thats official, something like that:smoke

    When you can make your natural weight limit, there is no reason to move up.

    "I won titles in three weight classes"
    "Yeah, but they were at 105, 108 & 112"
    "So"
    "And they were all WBF belts"

    Robbi, you know what my standpoint has been on 'pre-Louis' fighters but as of late I have started to change my opinion.

    it's a mixture of reasons, but I AM going to start ranking all fighters from history from now on. Looking at Tunney (an innovator IMO) and the small amount of footage of Greb (especially his shadowboxing, gives you a real indication of how his style may have been) you understand what kinda' fighter he must've been.

    By the way that's the lighting, Greb was ripped :good

    I can't believe I've done such a U-Turn (maybe it's just a phase):lol::think

    Now that MUST be a joke. You know how I (used???) to feel about old-time fighters, especially those we have no footage of. But Greb supposedly beat a lot of his opponents very, very decisively.

    I still don't think Bob Fitzsimmons has a chance in Hell against Robinson, the 'solar plexus punch' does not look all that impressive, even taking the angle into account:deal
