Broke my heart when Gabe Ruelas told me when he tried to console Jimmy Garcia's mother in the hospital, she said, "Don't touch me with those hands that just killed my son." Gabe's still haunted by it.
When this thread started no one would of guessed that we would have a cluster of strange deaths in the long hot summer months. For those were active be it in the USA or the UK, one will never know how far they could have gone.
didn't know that. pfffft and then still doing what he is doing now... probably 80% of the people who that would happen to would go drink heavly or something. that is a sad story indeed
Despite much family tragedy, George Chuvalo as managed to take giant steps in a positive direction. Also, it is good to hear about George attend various amateur boxing shows beyond the Ontario borders.
George Chuvalo is synonymous with endurance on every level. When the asteroid hits and wipes us all out the only thing left will be George Chuvalo.

ALEX SLADE, another tragic story. The boxing community in Queensland, Australia in mourning following the death of 19 year old amateur boxer ALEX SLADE of Impact Gym in Cooroy.
Tom Molineaux, born a slave, fought his way to freedom, came within a whisker of being crowned heavyweight champion against Tom Cribb, but died a penniless alcoholic in Galway before his 40th birthday. Benny Lynch was a washed up alcoholic at 25 and dead by 33. Darren Sutherland's suicide was nothing but tragic. RIP Dazzler.
