I support that man great choice education before anything he will make it one day don't worry his time will come people talk as if this guy was a bum and was offered this sparring session for this fight hes already signed with Top Rank and a great prospect 5-0 5kos this aint gonna kill his career so all the negativity should stop respect his decision!

He's an idiot for turning it down for reasons only homosexuals give a damn about, to be painfully honest.

You have the p4p#1 and possibly the greatest of this generation offer to PAY YOU to spar with him and you turn it down?, he's getting paid to get experience sparring with the p4p#1 fighter. Other people would PAY to experience something like this and he turns it down?

    He's not a serious boxer.

Larry holmes probably learned more from being Ali's sparring partner than he ever did in any actual fight.

If it's a PR thing and he has a potentially close relationship with Cotto, that makes sense; but missing 1 semester of school isn't that big of a deal for that kind of professional advancement.
My guess is there's more to it than school.

Good decision WTF? Can't he work school around this? Jesus, opportunities like this don't come around everyday, that would progress his boxing career ten-fold. And presumably boxing is going to be his main profession.
