Hopkins has always had trouble dealing with handspeed and combinations. In fact, all of his losses are against that type of fighter. Benn had fast everything, and B-Hop didnt have the power t that weight to keep him at bay.
atschatsch Well i see that your at it again, well i didnt vote on your stupid poll because you didnt have Hopkins by knockout. Please genius:-( When are you gonna get serious, or are u really this stupid:huh Benn was a helluva puncher good speed and had heart, but he was wild and would be picked apart by a master technichian like Hopkins. Ok im not even gonna go onlike the other guy about hopkins not fighthing at 168 cuz he kicks Benns as easy at whatever weight u wanna call it. Benn would make a good fight out of it for the first 7 then Hopkins capitalizes on benns wild shots and slowly breaks him down and Stops him in 11. Benn was knocked out by Watson,Eubank and out boxed by Malinga he gets his ass handed to him, those guys arent even in Bhops league. Whats next Don Cockell vs Mike Tyson Or how bout Amir Kahn vs RobertoDuran at 140?:-( :--(Quit Smoking Crack!!
That was not prime hopkins.Prime hopkins was the one who knocked out TIto and beat a dangerous Echols, anything pre Taylor, but you know what even the one that fought Calzaghe whips benn. Like i said any hopkins you want to bring up beats Nigel Benn. Even the Hopkins today who is closing in on 45.
well done sherlock,i never knew. If one does not understand a person, one tends to regard him as a fool... i have met a lot of hard bolied eggs in my time, but you're 20 minutes! address me as sir if you will please,or i will not tip you again, the service is ****!
Benn or Hopkins Benn KO Benn Decision Benn TKO Hopkins SD Draw? What is this for a f*cking biased and manipulated poll?
Benn was best when he was able to brutalize his opponents, however I think he wouldn't have been able to do that against B-Hop. Say what you want, but Hopkins is a tough fighter who is all business in the ring, and he always finds ways to impose his rhythm and his type of fight - even if he has to use dirty tactics. Now while it's true that most of Hopkins top opponents were smaller men who moved up, he also proved he could deal with fighters his size and stronger than him. He did have problems with some fighters that were faster and busier than him (Roy, Calzaghe...), and Benn was fast and busy, but Roy is in another league than Benn while old man Hopkins arguably deserved the nod against Calzaghe. Hopkins UD
calzaghe fans are so insecure about their fighter they feel the need to discredit hopkins every chance they get, because deep deep down inside they know hopkins out smarted calzaghe in the fight and joe could do nothing about it other than run around the ring desperately thowing light short punches to pick up points, not damage hopkins. one of the judges who gave it to calzaghe retired 2 weeks later, good call.
