Who the **** voted for Pavlik by decision?:patsch

KP can outbox a lot of fighters, but Joe ain't one of them. JC was known to get really sloppy at times. Pavlik would have to make Joe pay for that, hurt him, and then stay right on him. He can't win a decision!

absolute *****. lacy and kessler where very similar fighters to pavlick. he didn't duck them, he was underdog in both fights and still went for it.

    your just a mindless hater.

Actually I'm cognizant of the historical facts. Apparently you are not.

Calzaghe is a sucker for a straight right...Robin Reid could tag him...

I would favour calzaghe on Pnts at Home...in Wales.

But in the US Pavlik could knock Joe down hurt him and match his work rate.

Joe also doesnt give lateral movement like Hopkins hes not side to side...hes in and out so Pavlik could find him on the end of his straight punches...

Put it this way if Robin Reid could take Calzaghe to a split decsion I fancy Pavlik ecould do better

A few desperates have voted for Pavlik

This is the reason you should always do a public poll, we may never find out who these jokers are.

Is this your analysis of Pavlik versus the 1999 version of Calzaghe?

So, by your theory... if I think Calzaghe would beat Pavlik & Joe is miles ahead in the votes.... I should vote Pavlik because Joe`s too far ahead ? :huh

Yea I know ......everyone knows Pavlik would beat Joe,Thats why joe never fought him and ran from him

Joe has a very high workrate But so does Pavlik...Joe doesnt have the power to bother Kelly or get respect from him, Joe cant hurt Pavlik, but KP certainly has the power to hurt Joe...KP BEATS JC

Aww, see this is what we miss after Calzaghe's retirement.

The grand old '[insert fighter] will just walk through Calzaghe's punches and ko him' argument.

Just such a mystery why none of them ever did .....

    Calzaghe, with ease.

Kelly Pavlik is not a finished product, young guy, with a rudimentary style he has been improving. But Calzaghe, at that stage, was complete, and on some kind of fire.

Pavlik will be a great champion someday, mark my words.

But he's still a young buck whose gonna get schooled by great champions until he learns better craft. Calzaghe by onesided UD.

Calzaghe could be knocked down because he got off balance sometimes. When was he ever down longer than the count of two? Pavlik doesn't hit harder than Kessler, and Joe took perfect uppercuts from Kessler without flinching.

Calzaghe is probably too awkward for Pavlik to handle, though I think a well-developed Pavlik at 168 would give Calzaghe a more interesting match-up stylistically than Kessler. Thing is, Calzaghe's never really fought someone that can fight at his pace, and is willing to take a shot to throw one back over the top. If Pavlik invades him from the opening bell and tries to force him to trade, uses the right hand which Calzaghe can often be vulnerable to when he jumps in, and keeps up the pressure for 12 rounds he could make it a very interesting fight, and might even catch Calzaghe with something big. Overall, though, I'd expect Calzaghe's awkwardness, movement, speed and overall ring generalship to allow him to start to pull away in the later rounds once he figures Pavlik out.

This is an interesting fight, though, particularly if Pavlik matures into a great SMW in the future; and I don't think Calzaghe's ever really faced someone who could challenge him in quite the same way, stylistically, that Pavlik could. Calzaghe by decision for now.

Oh, and Calzaghe did run from KP.
