    You can hear him telling them to stop it, but I've never seen him in the actual video of it all.

    Honestly you could probably fine many examples of this kind of reffing in classic boxing. Imagine how bad it must have been when there wasnt a guy sent to a neutral corner.

    Perhaps not the most brutal as such, but the whole set up was menacing. They Really wanted to bury each other.

    That is BRUTAL! Shocked that the referee did not step in considering Machen took about 12 shots to the head as he hung on to the ropes and then slumped to the mat! :shock:

    Alex Garcia -vs- Bernard Bull Benton. It's like Mercer-Morrison on steroids. If anyone has a link to the video please post it. It was also given special attention and it's own spot on the very last USA Tuesday Night Fights series back when it went off the air. It was like 20 - 30 unanswered punches when Benton was out cold stuck in the corner and neither Benton's corner or the ref bothered to stop it. As brutal as it gets. It looked like Garcia killed him. It was so ****ed up this is what Boxrec says about the fight:
