Cotto knows how not just to jab but to jab to offset an opponents rhythm..which can make it frustrating for Pac. Not to mention, as shown against Zab Judah, its not only strong but very fast and accurate jab. He will offset Pac at times. How will Pacman respond? Will he bring a jab to the fight?

Im telling you guys...if Pac puts on an early assault in the first few rounds and if Cotto can survive Pac is gonna have to actually find a way to win..

Cotto will break him down in quick fashion and I tell you now, I will be here to say I told you so.

Put the version of the Hoya and Hatton that Manny fought in with Cotto and it's not even funny.

Cotto will destroy Pac. Trust me.

Pacquiao's main line of defense actually consists of taking away an opponent's jab. Most notably, he did it to Ledwaba, he did it to Morales (in the second fight), and he did it to De La Hoya (that was Roach's first priority). Pacquiao counters very well from a slipped jab with body shots and uppercuts. So even if Cotto can disrupt Pacquiao with it in the early rounds, I see Pacquiao adj*usting to it and eventually making Cotto abandon it.

Watch Cotto use that jab counter like a mother****er... especially if Pac opens up and comes forward..lol. If Cotto gets Pac backing up he will destroy him. Pacs power and speed wont mean **** if he cant come forward and get his patent shots off.

Yes, which is to keep assaulting until Cotto wilts. You know, the kind of way Pacquiao always fights?

Cotto isn't going to be using his jab against Pacquiao. He isn't going to try and be tactical. Cotto is going to try to destroy Pac, and will get his face torn to shreds in the process. Then, he'll throw a low blow or do something else dirty to throw Pac off his game, and the rest of the fight will hinge on how Pac handles that.

True. Unfortunately, Cotto has neither the defense nor the chin to trudge through Pacquiao's attack and press the fight on him. He'll taste his power early and will either resort to boxing off the backfoot, attempting to utilize the jab, or boxing in ring center. Either way, he's ****ed. If he had the tight guard (i.e. tightening those elbows to better protect the point of the chin) and granite chin that Chavez had, I might favor him to out-muscle Pacquiao and take his momentum away. As it is, I got Pacquiao by mid to late rounds KO.

This is all assuming Pacquiao can actually take a legit WW punch. If not, things could swing the other way.

I agree, Pac owns this fight in every way, only way he looses is if he cant take Cotto's punches...which is very possible.

i am absolutely astonished at the lack of respect cotto is getting! for one, i think he's a more technically sound fighter than pacquiao. it seems to *******s that one punch is all it's going to take to get cotto out of there. i've got news for you, cotto isn't an old, dehydrated oscar, and he sure isn't an overrated fighter like hatton. manny is going to be dumbfounded when he hits cotto with his best punch and it isn't even going to faze him. cotto has a very solid chin at welterweight, does pacquiao? we don't know yet but i will be the first to congratulate pacquiao if he doesn't get KO'd by the bigger stronger cotto.

what gets me is this, just pacquiao looked phenomenal against hatton doesn't mean he'[s going to do the same to cotto. besides, cotto has a much better everything than hatton. that night hatton was there for the taking as he had his guard down the whole time the fight lasted. the question *******s should ask themselves is this, what will be pacquiao's reaction when cotto lands some real solid welterweight punches? is pacquiao going to be able to "dodge" cotto the whole night? you *******s act as if pacquiao has never been KO'd in his life? come november 14th the *******s will cease to exist because cotto is going to bring these idiots back to their mindless, senseless minds. :nut
