I saw some improvements in that short figh. Headmovement ans stalking as opposed to following, and the biggest indicator of them all besides the speed and power was for me the weight loss and strength conditioning that we saw that night.

I do agree with you that one good win does not mean he is anywhere near a tilt at the title .If he is to be given a fair chance of competing and winning a title then making wise choices and not hasty ones should be the order of the day for Team Tuamanator.:good

Well ok then Jear, 4get the next tune. Let him fight Vitali now unless Waldo can get out of his mandatories. He's not fighting until next year. He had shoulder surgery. He probably end up with Vitali, tho.

I dont want him in with the Klits yet, I am merely pointing it out that it is quite possible that it may not be far away. I suspect once Haye beats Valuev King will keep him away from the Klits, I doubt hed get a shot at Valuev if King didnt have a contract giving him options on Haye. Arreola will drop after VK beat him as will Chambers after Wlad does likewise to him, so suddenly Tua is not far away from a shot. I think VK is the tougher fight for him so K2 will try line that up before he becomes Wlads mandatory

Then if thats the case Tua better stay busy especially with his weight problems. But he needs the tuneups. Putting him in there now would b like throwing him 2 the lions. I don't want 2 hear any excuses from Tua fans. And I have nothing against Tua!

I suspect end of 2010 hell be in with a beltholder, Ideally he will have 4-5 fights by then but i dont know who will be keen/allowed to get in to the ring with him in that time. Johnson, Solis, Boystov have been suggested but I cant see it. Rahman has Mercer next month so maybe the winner, Maybe Briggs although he probably has more options than Tua

If hed do a Tua and get back into fighting shape, 235-240, He could make some noise but 260-270 is just a waste of time. He had the power, size and hand speed to really tear up the contenders around at the moment

I expect hell comeback around 260lbs though

Vitali takes out Tua in 5, when he couldn't take Corrie Sanders, Danny Williams or Chris Arreola out in less than 8?

The same Vitali that hit Lewis with everything but the kitchen sink in Rd 2, and still couldn't drop him?

He's going to stop Tua in 5???

Wlad isnt as fantastic as the hype has almost led me to believe, I just watched more youtube vs Brewster rematch (closest fighter to Tua he fought recently) and his latest against Chaggy, his jab is no faster than Lewis' and probably about as hard, after all those knockouts hes received hes better at keeping his range but hes still just as ****ed if Tua gets in and lets his hands go.
Tua is going to need to kncok him out in early rounds because if it goes longer than like 6 Tua is going to be too discouraged by the heavy jab.
Definitely doable, I think he would turn to custard again if someone like Tua gets inside his jab

Vitali is not as big a hitter as Lewis IMO but Tua doesnt have the luxury of being able to KO him with 1 shot like he (and several others) can do to little brother

Anyway I think Tua needs to try turning someone else in the top 10 to custard first, not convinced yet that Tua isnt just after the money. This Cameron fight ticked all the boxes for Tua being that it was a local "rivalry" , proved he wasnt shot (especially to his many haters in NZ) and all at the comforts of home. Is he still going to bring it when he travels to Vegas or god-forbid, Germany?

Stacy McKinley: “Vitali Klitschko is probably the best thinking fighter heavyweight since Muhammad Ali. He’s a very smart, intelligent fighter. Very smart,” said McKinley last week in an interview we did in New York City. “He can box, he can throw punches from all angles. He can move. He can take a punch. He’s tall. He’s busy. He’s very hard to hit. Good thinker. Oh, he’s a helluva thinker.”

McKinley got a close up view of the WBC Heavyweight champion in Berlin last year while working with Samuel Peter. “That’s what I said when I fought him with Samuel Peters. I said, Don’t try to think with this guy. Don’t try to out-box or out-think this guy. Get in there and fight this guy. But he want to sit back and try to out-think him. You can’t do it. And I told him, He’s probably the smartest heavyweight I’ve seen in the ring since Muhammad Ali. And I’ve seen a lot of good fighters. Larry Holmes and all them were good fighters but they weren’t good thinkers. This guy Vitali is a great thinker. It seems like he knows what you’re gonna do before you start to do it. So he’s very, very, very cagey. I don’t think nobody can beat him.”

When I ask which fight or fights of Vitali were most impressive which convinced him to become a believer, he replies, “Well, the Lennox Lewis fight. The left-hander he fought that beat his brother (Corrie Sanders). All these guys he fought. He’s just so smart. He moves good. A real intelligent fighter.”

Then I suggest something many pundits have not yet begun to accept or contemplate. Is Vitali one of the heavyweight greats of all time? McKinley does not disagree. “One of the greats and that’s what I said. I told him. I haven’t seen one that smart since Muhammad Ali. I told him after the fight with Peters, post press conference. Smartest I’ve seen as far as thinking. Most of the guys can’t think that well. He’s just great, man, a great thinker. Since Muhammad Ali. He’s that smart.”

Does Cristobal Arreola have any chance to beat Vitali? “No,” replies McKinley without a hint of doubt. “Three or four rounds he might get knocked out. He can’t beat that kid. Standing up too straight, he ain’t got the chin or the skills. This guy, like I tell you, he knows what he’s doing. And I was talking to his brother Wladimir, he was down in Miami. I said, Have you and your brother ever sparred together?

“Wladimir said, No, we’re too competitive. I said, Let me tell you something. That’s a smart boy. He said, Yeah, he’s very hard to fight. I said, You don’t have to tell me. He’s very hard. He’s the best heavyweight out there. I don’t think anybody can beat him.”

Does McKinley believe Vitali is the superior heavyweight fighter to Wladimir? “Oh yeah. He’d knock Wladimir out. Wladimir’s got good, basic fundamentals but he couldn’t do nothing with that kid. Kid’s too good, man. And I knew we were gonna have a hard fight with Samuel Peters. I said, Go in and put pressure on, cut the ring off and fight him. Don’t think with him. Don’t try to out-box him. Because you can’t out-think him. You’ve got to fight him. But he tried to think and you saw what happened. It was no contest. He quit.”

Tua would be stunned by Vitali or Vlad. Cameron is not a top fighter period.

two things, 1) what makes you think an old, awkward punching vitali klitschko that couldnt even knockdown arreola, who has nowhere near the whiskers of tua or a timid wladimir that throws a right hand once in a blue moon, can even HURT tua?? let alone knock him down. 2) cameron was rated #6 in the WBO, the same title that wladimir holds. so in a way, shane was a top fighter.
