Is it not about time we used some of the clever computer people like Bart in the lounge to edit her article. Just for typo's obviously.
Finally... I'll be honest, I kind of missed all this going on while it was happening. But having trawled through this thread and that on the Guardian, I've come to three conclusions: (1) we've all overreacted somewhat; (2) that overreaction (along with the original article) has actually aided the Bunce cause by creating more publicity and general interest than there would have been without it; and (3) this Marina bird needs a cuddle. Honestly folks, legal action? Realistically - how much is that gonna cost? And to what end? If people have been offended then I'm afraid that's one of the downsides of making something publicly available. I do feel the pain of people like Longcount and others who spent time creating the site and going to extreme lengths to get contributions from certain people. But come on lads, this is what happens on the internet. We've all been in the ESB lounge and seen what goes on in there. I agree that you'd probably expect more from a Guardian journalist than you would an ESB lounge rat, but what real harm has been done? Her target audience and Buncey's target audience are poles apart. The only way one would know about the other would be if something like this was to happen. I'd say it was pretty much job done on behalf of the campaign. Additionally though, credit where it's due, Mr Bunce himself seems to have acted impeccably throughout all of this. In not responding to any of the mudslinging, I'd say he's shown himself to be a true professional. On the same note, those that dont share such credibility have little sway on the man, the sport and all those that follow either/both. Adios (sweethearts)....
In a battle of good over evil, who shall prevail? The people's hero 'Buncewalker' or the condescending 'Darth Hyde'? Bollocks, it hasn't workedatsch. I'm crap with computers.
I agree, however a complaint to the Information Commnisioners Office regarding the passing on of Longcounts email from Blunkets office to Cortina is definately in order, and costs nothing. PS: I'm intrigued to know how Cortinas pencil thin neck can actually support a head of any size
I gather you can't see it then. ****. What a waste of time that was! I'll upload it in the old school way.
Granted, he is a wizard on computers:good. I wonder if this silly lady (aka the cynic's cynic) will have to print a retraction?:think As I said before, she has inadvertently given free exposure to the campaign as a result of her tenuous, and rather frivolous, article, though. She should get a mention on bringbackbunce.net for her efforts:yep.
She is pathetic. And sneering at people over grammar etc isn't very liberal/left wing/socialist so all her little followers can drop the pretence.
I've just tried to check out the piece over on the Guardian website to see if anymore comments have been made only to find that the article is no more, and all comments relating to it have been deleted...is this a victory of sorts??...any updates from Bunce, Longcount et al ?
I'm in Belfast for tonight's show at the Dockers. I'm sure that there will be some updates soon. Adios and thanks.
