The North-East isn't Nazi territory, Rob. Personally, I think only boxing fans are interested. I don't expect people to say 'never mind the boxing, he's a Jew and so am I - I must go and watch him'.
but what is the need with that comment ? you think that only jews live in london ?are you that thick that you actually beleive that the only uk based jewish folk who would want to see this fight would be from london ?
it says on stories next week or so ,i would imagen somethign would be announced about it ...hopefully iwht a decent undercard it could be a sell out ...does anyone know twhat the capacity of the arena is ?
first of all, part of my family are jewish. at least 90% of jewish people in the UK are london based. Therefore there is a "jewish community" in London which doesn't exist elsewhere. If the jewish magazines and newspapers start printing storys about a jewish boxer fighting Amir Khan for a world title, and it was in the 02 or in London, you would get allot of jewish people turning out for the fight. When i lived in the midlands, and allot of my friends there were from up north, I was the only jewish person they had met in the entire life. My comment didnt mean to imply that they didnt want jewish people going to the fight.
11 thousand that isnae a bad number for an event like this ...means there probelry have tickets form £40 at lEAST
but that is not to say that there isint jewish communites outside london ?i get the point about if it was in london, but if they were that excited about seeing a hewish fighters then they could easily get on a train or drive to newcastle ?
about 3 miles from the arena there is a jewish university and community in gateshead which i believe attracts jews worldwide which must shock you as its not in london
