I wouldn't say he's damaged as in Meldrick taylor after the Chavez fight, but he defitnately left something in the ring against Margarito. Anyone who denies that is in denial.

Let me ammend my statment, Gomez showed plenty of heart(just not much talent). Jennings showed little heart or talent. It simply looked like he was looking for a nice spot on the canvas to lie down on. Those comments aren't bush league. Neither Gomez or Jennings have the talent to compete against world class opposition. And I'm sorry, but it didn't look like Jennings was too interested in fighting.

No, i don't think so. And he's been fighting a safer style for years now, many fights before the Margo fight. He's a serious threat to derail the Pacman train.

You shouldnt be too hard on him for his near loss to Clottey. I cant imagine Pac beating Clottey at all based on styles.

Cotto has some losses and close fights but he has fought better and bigger fighters than Pac has.

If he had fought like he did against Clottey without being cut, I might agree.

But the fact is, the man was badly badly cut in that fight and it clearly affected his vision... and he still won IMO.

Therefore, I disagree he is damaged goods. He took a few rounds to warm up vs Jennings, understandably, but his bodypunchig was back to its brutal best by the finish.

Cotto-Clottey was close to a 50-50 fight going in with most people, and Cotto dug out the win using boxing skills with impaired vision.

I can't agree he is damaged goods as I haven't seen clear evidence of that.

You still deny Margarito ever attempted to cheat so I'd be quiet if I were you...

I agree with you except the part MArgo was winning. Actually Cotto was winning that fight clearly til the last couple of rounds.

With a quiet training camp, I expect the best Cotto. He can only improve from being average and still beating a tough client in Clottey. Thats how good Cotto is.

I think he was referring to Margo winning clearly against Clottey...not Cotto.

It's been a while since I've seen that fight. I think I only had Margo BARELY edging it.

You say anyone who thinks Cotto lost something after the Margo fight is in denial yet the one in denial is you  "Margarito is innocent" boohoo.
