That's true - but stamina alone will never win you fights. Sam Soliman has un-ending stamina, tell me a big match fight he's won.

Zab Judah, despite his stamina issues and being a ****ing mental case, has been undisputed at his weightclass before, with speed being about the only asset he had.

Judah had power too, he's a pretty good example of how those attributes can combine to underachieve if there is nothing else to underpin it.

At the end of the day all of these are useless on their own. You can't beat anybody good by just throwing punches with power for a few rounds, or just by being fast for a few rounds. A marathon runner would have a certain amount of stamina but he isn't going to win any fights without training.

Id say speed is the most effective but plenty of fighters have got by without being particularly fast. Most important is probably stamina.

Yes, but the most important attribute and the attribute that more often than not has been hand in hand with the very best boxers?

It isn't Power - Sanders, Shavers and Chuvalo come to mind as extremely powerful boxers who were always alsorans.

It isn't Stamina - Glen Johnson, Sam Soliman, Librado Andrade come to mind.

It is speed - Roy Jones Jr, Ali, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson - all these guys had stamina and power too, don't get me wrong, but speed was what set them apart from their counterparts.

I see where you are coming from. If we assume a fighter is competent in all areas, speed is crucial.

Stamina can be built, power can be improved, you can't teach speed.

    Speed is nothing without accuracy,
2 fighters with speed but are not accurate is ..Khan,& paciou,
Each of those 2 needed to connect their opponent to disrupt thier counters but if they missed throwing speedy shots, they get timed,Dani Garcia timed Khan
Marquez, timed PAciou & mayweather was timing Paciou

Garcia timed Khan with a heavy blow it wasn't fast he knocked down wobbled him and Khan never recovered,
Marquez combined a well timed accurate speedy punch and paciou never got up to hear the bell it wasn't that hard just well placed at the right time

stamina EASILY. ask anyone to spar with them, those shots u hit them with in the first 2 rounds shake off easily, come the 4th, 5th round they start having a big effect on you.. becoming tired effects almost every aspect of your boxing game

Stamina and Power. I hold them both at equal value. Look at Marciano he overwhelmed his opponents with his monster stamina and cannon hands.
