Good post, though I would like to comment on your last part. While Tua never really layed out anyone A class, he has put to sleep heavyweight champs such as the likes of Rahman, Ruiz, and Moorer. Which imo are better than any 3 names on Wlads knockouts list. You must also remember the top guys Tua couldn't layout (Lewis, Bryd), were slick and pretty hard to hit. So rarely did he land anything solid against them.

I would also like to point out, most of Tua's knockouts came from one punch, where as Wlad's come from a few punches. Aside from his knockout over Brock in november of 06, great punch that was. Tua is every bit as powerful as Wlad, and probably has more one punch power as well, even today.

I think either of them could stop Tua, if Tua decided that the loser of the fight was going out on a stretcher. Something he didn't do v Lewis.

Vitali would be the least likely to stop Tua. Wlad seems to have bigger one punch power. Whereas Vitali seems to have solid power, delivered consistently over a whole fight.

I'm still not convinced Vitali can take out a top level fighter with 1 shot. I think Wlad can though.

I agree about the A class, but if you're counting guys like Lewis as A class, not many guys do KO guys like that.

Tua has KO'd those guys mentioned, and also

    Maskaev
    Izon
    Oquendo

Those guys are far better guys than somebody like Sam Peter has KO'd to be honest, and he's mentioned as the big puncher in the division right now.

That's a pretty good list of guys to KO. Yep, he's failed in 2 of his biggest tests, but at least he's fighting guys of that quality.

Guys like Arreola (just an example, I don't hate the bloke) are getting title shots now because they're "Undefeated" - but the best guys they've fought are Jameel McCline and Chazz Witherspoon types.

Tua has fought guys that are leagues better than those fighters. And beat them.

Lewis, Byrd and Ike are another level up from that again.

I was going to say Maskaev, but the guys chin is terrible and other than laying out another weak chinned fighter in Rahman twice, who has he beaten? David Izon, dont think he belongs along side the other knockout victims of Tua.

As I said before, Tua knocked out Ruiz and Moorer with one punch. What good fighter has Wlad ever laid out with one punch? Brock is not that good by the way.

Izon is comparable to Chazz Witherspoon, Travis Walker types, that's more along the lines of what I was getting at. And KO'ing those guys is all you need to do to get a title shot these days.

Maskaev is a name, that's all, you're right. But still a name that won the WBC belt in recent times.

Again, more convincing than beating a Dominick Guinn type fighter IMO.

I've been called a hater of the Klitchko's before, but really, the guys they were fighting were walking punching bags. They had neither the skill, experience or power to trouble either of the brothers. Not their fault, as champions they have to fight mando's, but come on, I wouldn't have put a dollar on any of their recent opponents for anything less than 50 to 1 odds.

Now, I'd have plenty of money on Tua at 50 to 1.

Your right on most points you made. I been Klitschko hater since 02, mostly Wlad though. I have said it many times before, Wlad offensive skills back in 02-03, were the most dominate I seen since Tyson of the mid to late 80's. Then his glass chin was exposed, and now he's more cautious and more defensive minded. Better fighter now, overall, but not the offensive force he once was.

I think Tua would stand a chance against Wlad, but he would have to be willing to fight, not box Wlad. A mistake alot of Wlad's oppenents make, and there the same ones that get stopped or knocked out because of it. He should take the Sam Peter approach, one that has him trying to rough up the mentally fragile Wlad. We seen Peter force him to clinch, panic, hit the canvas a couple times, one punch from Tua could turn a fight. That would be his only hope for victory.

I agree, Wlad has more 1 shot power, but saying Calvin Brock couldn't crack an egg is quite a stretch. He cracked Zuri Lawrence's egg just right with a single, perfectly placed left hook.

Zuri's been stopped 8 times! And down in other fights too. I really hope we're not taking him as the chin benchmark.

Tua beats someone in the top ten, someone genuinely considered a top ten guy rather than Cameron's rating based off very little, then I'll be more interested. Tua offers the style and the punch that can get anyone interested, God knows I was a big Tua booster in the past.

But the same worry is there as always, that when it comes to step up to the plate he'll blow it. Concerns about his weight are almost incidental, it's his ability and too much love for the big punch that has let him down before.

A focused Tua can be a big boon to the division. I'm not willing to jump on that bandwagon (again) quite yet.

Tua fights Wlad right now, I think he loses.

I never said Zuri's chin was granite but that shot Brock hit him with would've knocked many guys out. It was that good of a punch.
