I know Barret is a washed up never-was, but Solis does not impress me at all. I'm picking Barret for the upset.

How is Solis the favorite? Who has he beaten as a pro and what's he 5'11 and 260 lbs? Barrett will rough it up and throw hard punches. Doubt Solis has the power necessary to get the ko monte's always susceptible too. Thing is if monte doesn't dominate, he'll probably "lose" a decision to the "prospect" Solis. Is this fight gonna happen?

I noticed barrett has a good uppercut! That punch could work all night long vs solis! And if barrett can take solis body punching this could be montes fight!

That's a surprisingly good replacement... Barrett was gunned down but by a very sloppy Haye, and Monte decked him legtimately in that fight, so it is certainly the biggest test for Solis' career and a fight he can lose if he shows up out of shape. Barrett's style is better for Solis and better for a good show, but you know, this last minute changes always screw up the game plans.

So it's certainly a very interesting fight.

If Solis doesn't win that inside 6 rounds, he is toast. He seems to find new ways to balloon up even further with every fight he does. He was a shell of the former shell of a fighter who won olympic gold in his last fight.

Barrett can take a body punch well, as he has proven in the past. I am a huge fan of Barrett's and will be rooting for him all the way.

Barrett is a great spoiler...personally, i don't think he's THAT shot, but he is definitely past his prime. In his prime he could definitely take Solis.

Now, Solis wins a late TKO, IMO. But Barrett can upset anyone...made a career out of it, really.
