Cotto Pacquaio - WHO WILL SET THE PACE

I think Cotto is goin to attack the body, try to break Pac down for the mid to late stoppage. Whether he catches Pac is another thing completely. Yes Cotto has been hurt early in fights with Judah n Torres etc BUT what was the outcome of those fights again? (granted it wasnt Pac in there with him but both guys were bangers no doubt.)
I jus cant see Pac takin the body punches for too long and I believe Roach stops the beating, thus bringing the curtain down and Pacmans P4P parade AND Pac and Roach's partnership imo

I can't wait for this fight to happen. I'm tired of daydreaming about this fight already. This sucks.

 

Cotto will need to damage Pac within the first half of the fight. If that doesn't happen, he's done for considering his stamina issues in the late rounds, from what I've seen against Judah, Moseley, Clottey, Margo (excused here though), but you see what I mean.

Pac gets stronger the later the fight goes.

 

If Cotto gets rocked early, it will be a long night for him. He takes him forever to recover it seems like he just ain't the same fighter after eating his first big shot.

 

Yes, after getting rocked, he fights a lot more desperately imo. He's not exactly one to clinch either.

 

i think the first few rds will be won by pac on activity but cotto will start to let his hands go a lot more around the 4th rd and it will get competetive as i think manny will be surprised by cottos strength. unless cotto can wear pac down, i see manny winning the last couple of rds due to what i think is superior physical conditioning. i think it will be close but pac will get the nod to keep the goose healthy. i do expect to give more rds to pac.

 

The pace of this fight won't matter as PAc always sets the pace yet Cotto has a very good amatuer background which dismisses that thought. Cotto is about as patient as it gets in the ring. Cotto imo is just too slow for Pac, and as hard as Cotto will try, Pac will be landing bombs until Cotto is stopped. Pac is inny/outy the whole fight because the minute Pac stands flat footed is when he is in trouble unless Cotto's coming in at 145hurts him. Cotto lacks a true right hand, and his only chance is to jab, and weather PAc's early storm, and hope that weighing in at 145 does not hurt him like I think it will.

 

I think a war for a while.
