The Boxrec top ten unbeaten Heavy Weights

    2. Denis Boytsov (Russia) 25-0
    3. Franceso Pianeta (Italy) 19-0
    4. Kevin Johnson (USA) 22-0-1
    5. Odlanier Solis (Cuba) 14-0
    6. Alexander Ustinov (Russia) 17-0
    7. Tyson Fury (UK) 9-0
    8. Malik Scott (USA) 32-0
    9. Sebastian Koeber (German) 18-0
    10. Derek Chisora (UK) 10-0
    Povetkin will likely lose his '0' first, but at least it will be against a Klitschko, and he is head an shoulders above the rest.

    Will any succeed at the top level?

    None can beat the Klitschkos obviously, but this list is not bad at all. Vitali will most likely retire after 2010 and I don't think Wlad will ever negotiate with Haye again, therefore 2 titles will be out there to grab.

    Other than very good unbeaten fighters like Povetkin, Boystov, Solis, and the pretty good Johnson and Pianeta, there are the "Klitschko-unbeaten" guys who never lost to anyone else, like Arreola and Peter, and there's Haye, Chambers and possibly Juan Carlos Gomez - these guys can make some damn good HW world title fights, and most of them could win one even for a short period of time.

    I can't believe Tyson Fury is in that top 10.... i always thought that this heavyweight division was not as bad as people make it out to be... but i guess i was wrong

    Boxrec is unlikely to reflect the controversial nature of his last win in their rankings... It is a bit poor for him to be in a top 10, but it shows how absurd is the focus on being unbeaten. The real world-beaters, such as the Klitschkos, Hopkins, Haye, Pacquiao, have learned from losing. It's very unusual to have someone who goes to the top and never loses, although there are exceptions such as Floyd Mayweather.

    I'm a big fan, (although he is annoying) but his early loss to Carl Thompson is a great example of learning from a loss, and is very relevant similarly to those others' losses.

    Tyson Fury? The most over-hyped heavyweight in the world is in the top 10?
    Thats proof as to how bad the division is at the moment.

    I don't think he learned from that loss at all. Haye was always very giftes athletically but also always sloppy and prone to make mistakes. His last fight against Barrett certainly wasn't his best. To smooth this out, a young fighter needs to get in the ring often. He has what, 23 por fights at age 28? Chambers is the same age and has 36 fights and just in his last fight looked like he has fully developed his potential. Haye seems to want to act like Mayweather without getting to the diva state through accomplishments.

    It does reflect well on his level of opposition in that he is only 9-0 and is above 32-0 Malik Scott.

    In a fight v Pianetta for the EU title I would tip Fury.

    Pianeta is @ 15
    Johnson - 22
    Solis is 34

    Even when there is no bias it proves formulas/leagues still produce anomolies
