Heavyweight Tourney: Rd 1: Nicolay Valuev .Vs. Jack Dempsey

Oh man. I'd like to see Jack smash Nicolay up. Nicolay would be a bloody, battered mess.

the only chance valuev has is a punchers chance but i think he never fought someone as ferocious as dempsey. probably from the start dempsey will be all over him and tko around round 6

 

a few rounds of being leant on by valuev would tire out the divisions most over-rated champ and valuev would take a points win

 

Ref would stop this within the first 3 rounds. It's a massacre

 

Jack on points. He'd give Valuev a horrible whipping, but I think the giant could finish this fight on his feet.
It depends in what era they fight in though.

 

Dempsey by TKO or decision. Too much offense for the defensively weak but durable giant.



On another note: why did Valuev make it to this tournament? Dempsey advances to fight Nino Valdez now?

 

Dempsey did fight an exhibition against a fighter the size of Valuev called Ben Wray.

Wray was not a world beater but he did have a win over Carl Morris. Dempsey broke Wray's jaw in seven places and was prosecuted for it. While this incident is not of huge importance it shows that Dempsey could retain his power going uphill.

with dempsey's time gloves , and after the first painful blow valuev gets that makes him angry and clarifying to him that this is a real fight and no mercy , valuev decapitated poor dempsey , and i do know the willard's story , even watched at least part of it. dempsey gets blown to the crowd. valuev is even bigger than willard , and i had enough of the people claiming valuev is **** , he lost to holyfield. valuev had no bad intentions with holyfield. he understood it's just business. and yes , valuev is probably **** , but not that much. if dempsey comes to fight and hurts valuev , valuev ends his career in that fight.
