Bingo. I had the 11th to Barrera. Makes it a draw. No robbery. First fight, I had 7-5 plus the KD to Barrera. That one makes me more upset. But, the KD was pretty bad, and the fight on the whole was tough to score. Marco beat Erik clear as day in the 3rd fight.
I thought the 2nd fight was the only clear fight in the trilogy for either fighter......I had Morales winning handily (something like 8-4 in rounds) Morales used his height and reach through most of the first 7 or 8 rounds and really controlled MAB. ....just beautiful boxing from Morales with the use of his jab to keep MAB at a distance. For the record, I scored the first fight 7-5 for MAB Morales clearly outboxing MAB in the 2nd fight. .....and I had the 3rd fight scored even!
Says the guy who thinks Marquez is the best fighter of the three, and that Barrera is a one handed fighter. We discard ¥our views as a result.
The first two fights could go either way, the rounds were WAY too close to judge properly. The third fight is a clear win for Barrera in my opinion.
For me the first is the clearest victory of all three fights unfortunately the judges didnt saw it that way and gave the win to the wrong fighter.
I thought Barrera won the 1st fight but they gave it to Morales. I thought Morales won the 2nd fight but they gave it to Barrera to compensate for the 1st fight and 2 set up a 3rd fight.
I remember scoring the second for Morales. In the trilogy I have it: Morales Morales Barrera All three fights really close, the first the hardest to score imo.
Barrera inflicted the most damage in all three fights, I thought he won then all - but I have no arguments with people scoring the first two for Morales. They were close fights.
Morales won this fight, and lets also not forget that Barrera was knocked down by a body shot, ruled a slip but it was a legit knock down......
I'm currently in the process of providing you a gif clearly showing Morales foot impeding with Barrera's, and that is was actually a slip. But for now. Post your scorecard please?
Havent a score card at my desk, what did you think I was re watching the fight with you and re scoring it, I know I had Morales winning when the fight took place.... Doesnt matter what my card or your card looks like anyways it doesnt change the official out come.
This is true, but I think it's a little lame to bring up the supposed knockdown. Barrera never goes down to a body shot like that, and Morales foot was clearly making contact with Marco's. We'll clear up that in a minute though.
I felt Morales controlled the pace of the fight in the 1st and 2nd fight, was busier, and scored more points. It's a hard fight to score because Barrera landed the harder shots, but I felt Morales scored more.
