    Now..

I'm not saying this in bad way, i don't want any serious life threatening injuries sustained by the fighters in this fight...

But ive made threads before...about the Pacman hype.

And i have stated that, people have gotten carried away.

I believe this fight is at a catch weight of 145..?

If Manny Pac is so good, why can't he face a fighter at their actual weightclass insted of...making his oponents drop weight ALL THE TIME..?

What are they trying to achieve..? Some kind of an advantage..?

He's not pound for pound number 1, not by a long shot..

    For what..?

I just believe on November 14th, it is the end of the PACMAN hype, at the top of the sport.

Because he is going to sustain a voilent beat down...

I don't even think Miguel Cotto is the best Welter Weight out there..

But thats just it, Pacman decided to play with he big boys..

And he is now going to pay..

Migeul Cotto, will not be a weight drainned Oscar De La Hoya..

Miguel Cotto is a voilent man and i think he is slightly desturbed.

When he sees his own blood..it only makes him fight harder...

The fight is over already, done..!

    Game, Set...and Match...!

Even if Pacquiao gets KTFO he's still got a few lucrative paydays ahead, I don't see Cotto retiring him unless it's a Benn-McClellan or Darchinyan-Burgos type of situation.

Manny is scheduled to fight again in March. :deal

Cotto will represent the most powerful puncher Pacquaio has ever faced, one of the fastest with handspeed, one of the most complete in terms of punching arsenal and someone who represents pretty good defense until he tires, then he's a wee bit open.

Cotto arguably has the best resume at 147 of any active fighter, the Margarito loss can be questioned due to the handwrap saga, but take a look at who he has faced there - Clottey, Mosley, Margarito, Judah and Quintana.

While I don't neccessarily agree with the thread starter, I am confused with the large number of posters who actually believe Manny is going to KO Cotto. Manny has yet to hurt a WW fighter much less KO one. Couple that with the fact that Cotto, aside from the knees he took against Margo, has only been even knocked down ONE time. Cotto has only had trouble with larger fighters and even the larger fighters he's faced werent able to floor him. The fact that many of you feel Pac KO Hatton equates to Pac KO Cotto is dumbfounding. Pac is a really good, naturally talented fighter, who presents a lot of problems for cotto with his speed and movement, but to objectively look at this fight and conclude that there is a high possibility of it ending with a Pac KO is ridiculous.

Cotto could win this fight in a big way if he fights smart. Uses his jab, goes to the body roughs Pac up. Cotto is a very live dog in this fight.

I don't even think he needs to fight smart to win. I think his power will stun Pacquaio early, his movement in the early should keep him away from the power shots Pacquaio usually lands early and it will be a race to the 6th round.

If he tires, like he did in other fights, he might be in trouble against Pacquaio who is relentlessly conditioned.

But prior to that? I think he'll avoid the major shots Pacquaio throws, land to the body and land to the jaw of Pacquaio at will for the first few rounds and that could be enough to finish the job.

 I found this part funny. Not saying youre wrong tho.

    ----

I can see a lot of potential outcomes, but I lean towards Cotto winning it.

I agree but Cotto has the tendency to fight dumb when pressured he abandons his gameplan he retreats to the ropes and moves away instead of clinching to buy time or break up his opponents rhythm.
